The 2004 BamaNation Football Team roster and support staff may be ready by Monday. It is a tall task looking at all the tapes and looking at last years stats. Unlike Fullmer and Johannigliar, we have all our tapes handy. There are also no missing files from our office though I do have a rather large bump on my head.
There are a lot of veteran players returning and a veteran coaching staff but there are several new faces that have caught our eye and will be seeing ample playing. It looks like the competition will be fierce and the team will be at least 3 deep at all positions. We are still looking for another reserve center, fullback, at least one more punter, deep snapper, holder, at least one stud or studette terminator style linebacker, and the QG position is up for grabs. The Grillin' & Chillin' forum has added a ton of bulk and muscle this off season. This may be the largest team ever to hit the field. They leave potholes in the field just walking.
Of course the quarterback position will be a topic of great controversy. We have a few that have been doing Skel drills and so far none have broken from the pack to take the lead. TommyMac still feels he can get the job done even from his Lil Rascal electric wheel chair but the NCAA has denied the use of motorized vehicles being used in games. So unless we can get T-Mac more mobile, there may be younger blood behind center.
There will be a few changes in the coaching staff and support team, some shuffling of hats and desks. The BamaNation team has gone undefeated 5 seasons in a row, quite an achievement and our coaches and players should get a round of applause (or a round of Zima) for their dedication to excellence.

The next list I will post probably on Monday will be the projected roster but there may be some changes during fall training before the kickoff of the first game. The delivery guy wouldn't even come in with the food once he knew who was in there! Needless to say they are an experienced group who know how defense is to be played. With book ends known as "Arsenic and Lace", one gets the feeling of how deadly this defense will be. We had to move 1BamaNita from LB to the line due to her increased muscle mass. Plugging the middle with IH8Orange who's a crusty ol veteran and newcomer BigDaddy we won't be seeing allot of runners passing the line of scrimmage. Intense competition had Albertvilleguy in the mix until the end but BD gets the nodd. We also have full confidence in the backups and like the offensive line, won't miss a beat when subsitution time comes!

With PC as the field general of this crew, I believe the demons of hell are scared. Great competition here. Once the linguistics are worked out, watch out for this crew. BamaLaw and Bamanut provide much need balance while blitz, boiler and Patriot provide the depth other teams only dream of!!!
