i guess these lists are for entertainment purposes. but i wish they would have done a little more research. i'd rather eat ruby tuesday ribs than mike and ed's. they arent even popular within the city itself.

Where ever there's BBQ, Bourbon & Football
You should've known better "backyard Q guy" unless you were doing "research". :)
I knew before I ordered them. But I hate Ruby Tuesdays period and went there with a group of people in which I was out voted as to where to eat. If I remember correctly I lost to several women who thought their cheese sticks or whatever it was tasted real good. So I had to suffer. I always like to try someone else's bbq so I did.

I usually default to a sandwich and fries at places like RT...hard to mess those up and more in line with what I'm willing to pay at such places.

If it's not low and slow it's not BBQ in my book. Just call it what it is. Grilled ribs.

According to the dictionary BBQ is meat roasted over an open fire. I'd have to agree with that, otherwise we'd be discussing the best grilling joints in the state.

I love smoked meats too, but there's a lot to be said for cooking over a direct heat source, i.e. barbecuing.
