I understand what you're going through because late last year I had a deep vein thrombosis followed by two pulmonary embolisms. Several doctors said I nearly died twice. On top of all that, I have major neck, shoulder and lower back problems (which I can't get facet joint or cortisone injections until I come off of the blood thinners). I take pain medication, muscle relaxers and a bunch of other fun stuff. Keep in mind that too much of that medication can relax things to the point of not being able to poop or pee and can make it tough to breathe as well. I am also kidney stone prone and I pass them pretty well using Flomax (it really does open things up to let the stones pass through). In late 2009 I was prescribed Topamax to combat the migraine headaches. Come to find out from my urologist after a surgery to blast a 6mm stone that Topamax CAN CAUSE kidney stones. The official side effects don't list that but a little research on the web confirmed what the urologist told me.

So you may need to look at your medication. I know you have a lot of problems different from mine but I know a little about what you are going through. I wish you all the best in your recovery. I'm 44 and I'm supposed to be too young to be going through all this. I'm sure it's nothing but smooth sailing from here!

By the way, I always thought you were a younger guy. I don't know any of you personally so I don't know how old anyone is. If you (or anyone else) can tell me Bayou's age I would greatly appreciate it. Again, Bayou, you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dang Rich, no BM problems among any of us cause you scared the crap out of us. Think of your recovery time as part of CNS's process, you will be ready for summer camp and the upcoming season. Take care and know that I will be thinking of you and praying for a speedy recovery. Roll Tide

Rich, don't know you, but have always liked your posts on TF. I can't imagine what you have been through nor what is ahead, I hope your journey is short and hope you get back to your old self.

Your post is almost TMI, but the den thing is a jewel. Please don't post the video!

Get well soon. Roll Tide!
