BCS DVD released today

I thought that might be the case. Bummer. I am interested in hearing about the quality of the blu ray version. I purchased DVD copies of the 2009 BCSCG and the quality was awful.

No - I have a DVD burner. I have a commercial free with the pre and post plus things like "Mike and Mike" and Brando and Cowherd, 3 discs at about 37 cents a disc.

I got the blu-ray version of that game several weeks ago. The quality was excellent so I would definitely recommend it over a dvd version. Strange that there is only a dvd version of the 2011 title game against LSU when they have a blu-ray for the 2009 title game.

Got mine at the local Walmart here in Gadsden yesterday(first day of release). Watching it in blu-ray last night was almost a better experience than the live broadcast!

I didn't understand why last year's championship game wasn't available on blu-ray either. I even contacted the department selling game videos on RollTide.com about it and they said only the DVD format was available. FYI, the 2010 BCSCG was not available in blu-ray either but that made sense to me;)

so how was the final review of the bcs game on blu-ray? I'm just curious as to what all it includes? Is there any pre/post game?

I know beggars can't be choosers, but I would really like to have a Blu-Ray that has narrated footage of the entire season. At the very least, something like they did in 2009 where they had Gold call and highlights of each game.

I watched the Blu-ray this morning, it starts right before the teams take the field and includes the trophy presentation. None of the ESPN postgame show or coaches press conferences. The quality is excellent. Kind of fun to focus on T'eo and see really how out of place, slow and lacking in form he really was that night. (Of course some NFL team is gonna waste a top 20 pick on him...)

Good to know. With all the comments I saw about last years DVD I opted not to purchase as it seemed the quality was lacking.
