BCS Game- Show Thread

corso was about to say lsu hadn't played a back as good as wells, then caught himself, and said wells is a man!. well Dmac is a monster!

UGA-Hawaii. That is pitiful. Maybe Hawaii deserves it and all but man thats a game i can miss.

Yeah, I'm real pumped about it, too.

:rolleye2:

#1 loses.

#2 loses.

#3 doesn't play and moves up two spots.

#4 doesn't play and drops one spot.

Can someone explain that to me?

Anyway, whatever. Wouldn't be surprised if we lost to Hawaii. Players and coaches have to be very, very disappointed. We're in a lose-lose situation. Only good is that we are in a BCS game. That's always good, but I can tell you, Athens is somber right now and I think we have a legit reason to be.

Men, we need to petition to change conferences to the big 10, we would play in the BCS cg every other year!

Lou just went absolutely bonkers.
Why... because Notre Dame didn't make a BCS game?

The BCS once again proves that it is a complete joke. KU getting a BCS game over Mizzou is a complete travesty. Mizzou is actually ranked 2 spots higher then KU in the final standings. KU has the #109 ranked schedule and Mizzou has the #26 ranked schedule. Mizzou beat KU and really only lost to one team this year. The BCS is a joke. They need to either go to a playoff or just get rid of the BCS and go back to the old bowl system.

Hate UGA, but see your point, if not playing in the conference championship game hurt uga, why didn't it hurt osu. would have been more understandable if OU AND LSU JUMPED TO #1 AND #2

I just don't see how LSU jumped from #7 to #2 by beating UT by 7 points. Heck we beat those guys by 24. But this is all moot anyway. In the end everyone will lose and Notre Dame will be declared National Champions. ;)

it seems to me that the talking heads all season wanted lsu in the title game, I saw Notre Dame jump from #5 to #1 in 1977 to win a title, but #7 to #2 is a bigger jump for a chance at a title , just seems strange that lsu is that charmed!

All the BCS is supposed to do is put #1 and #2 in the championship game. The other bowls are left to pick their own teams based on the regulations in place. Missouri could have been picked, but the Orange wanted Kansas for some reason.

I agree. Maybe if LSU had pounded Tenn. but a 7 point win doesn't say much and they shouldn't have jumped 5 spots or over an idle team IMO. I love that the SEC has a team in the BCSCG but, I am so tired of Les Miles and his "R-Kansas" attitude that I hope they lose. I'm so sick of him saying "we are undefeated in regulation." You have 2 loses, get over it. Oh well, onto Shreveport!

I'm just glad "the chop block" didn't cost LSU a shot at the "Undefeated in Regulation Mythical National Championship Game". I couldn't believe it when Blackledge and the other idiot said that every since that chop block on Dorsey in the Auburn game things had went down for LSU. They even went on to say it cost them the win over Arkansas. Huh? Give me a break.

Missouri got robbed big time. Beat Illinios and Kansas. The BCS is crap. No one dare showed the computer voting. I smell Jim Delaney. He was very upset the big 10 had only one team in the BCS. So others with 1 or 2 losses are ignored for a team that lost three and to one of the BCS teams (Missouri) who should have been in the BCS. What a crock.

Jim Delaney, and the rest are all corrupt and they know it too. How in the world does an at large team (Illinios) 9-3 get by a team who beat them and plays in a much tougher conference?

Jim Delaney needs to wear depends. The oder is very strong. He cries and the BCS clowns all bow down. Cowards. :BigA:

Good Lord... let me explain it again:

After putting the #1 and #2 team against each other and put the conference champions in the bowl tie-in spots, the BCS is not required to do a whole lot.

Ohio State went to the National Championship game, and it left the Rose Bowl without the Big 10 Champion. As a result, they immediately had first pick of eligible teams that weren't automatically locked into other bowls. The Rose Bowl decided they wanted Illinois to preserve a Big 10/PAC-10 match.

When it came to the other bowls to make their picks, they all must have decided "We don't want Missouri for one reason or another", and that is why they aren't in a BCS bowl. The Sugar, Fiesta, Rose, and Orange had no obligation to select Missouri.
