Step back and actually think, do we have a snowballs chance in.... Key West to make it to the tourney.

I personally don't think we can, but I am still optomistic. I'm looking for someone to give me reasons as to why we WILL make the tourney.

Of course we have a chance. Our schedule down the stretch is somewhat favorable and we are playing better basketball now than we have all season.

Not saying we will make it, but def. have a chance.

Must be interesting to have multiple personalities.

There are only about 10 teams that know right now if they WILL make the tourney. There's a month left in the regular season. Many teams COULD play themselves into or out of the tourney. Just like those teams, Alabama has half of the conference season remaining. Really, anything could happen. Right now, Alabama has to like its position...top 50 RPI, 7th toughest SOS, 5-3 in SEC, and 2nd in SEC West.

About 1 month ago, almost everyone said Alabama didn't have a chance at...fielding a basketball team, winning an SEC game, or making the NIT.

Bracketology on ESPN has moved us up from an 11 seed a week ago to an 8 seed this week. Reality is that we are going to make the tournament if we go 5-3 or probably even 4-4 over the last half of the season.

Right now, the 5th berth from the SEC comes from us and Arkansas, basically who ever finishes 2nd in the SEC West will get in.

Making the NCAA is a very realistic expectation at this point.

Hope you're right. We are very close to being a pretty dang good ball club. Alittle luck here and there and we could easily go a few rounds........

It's realistic because we have some games left on our schedule that can boost our RPI with wins.

And I think this team has the potential to win the SEC tourney.

I think if we go 4-4 down the stretch, we'll get in. That will give us a 16-12 record; 9-6 in the SEC and either 4-2 or 3-3 on the road in conference. Regardless of how we do in the SEC tourney, I think finishing 2nd in the West and at least breaking even on the road along with the OOC schedule will get us in.

I disagree. The media is really playing the SEC is weak card, and the voters will notice that as well. We need more than 16 wins to get noticed and we need SEC tourny wins to solidify a spot.

At this point I think we are out. We need better than 4-4 to even be on the bubble. LSU losing a few would help too.

You think we're out but Lunardi and Doyle at CBSsportsline both have us in... and that tells me that our RPI and SOS are good enough to get us in if the season ended today.

I actually think LSU losing would not help us any. Unless we win enough and they lose enough to catapult us to the top of the SEC West, keeping them with a good record helps us in the RPI and SOS.

I really think we need to go 6-2 to make it. The SEC is not a strong as it has been in the past. I think it will take at least 18 wins in the regular season to get us in. If we can't get that we need to get to the finals of the SEC tournament to make it.

If you mean a down year, it isn't by much. The SEC is a close 4th behind the ACC in conf. RPI rankings. UF, UT, and LSU all are have fine records. The teams in the middle behind them are just OK. We'll know better in post season play.

While the SEC may be close to nomal while looking at statistics, you can look at the teams on TV and realize it is down. As of right now LSU is playing the best in the league, and they have lost every premier OOC game except for the game against WVU.

It shouldnt last long because the league is loaded with talented Freshmen, but the SEC is without a doubt down.
