he will be in another country playing most likelyI wish him well, but his best case is probably an undrafted free agent.
Pretty much agree. But after the year the team went through can you blame guys to be ready to get out.It reflects poorly on the basketball program that a guy will take his chances playing in the NBA minor leagues or overseas rather than stay in school and get some NIL money and then declaring. He won't get drafted.
Bediako's skill set is similar to Clint Capela. Guard the rim, run the floor, pick and roll.According to the articles I have read this morning, he is not even projected to be drafted. IMO, this is a bad move. I do wish him the best.
I don't know that I follow your logic. I would think that the season itself would be an encouragement for players like Bediako to come back for one more year given that he finished the season strong and the team did well. If he continues to build on that and has a strong season from start to finish then he is a potential (mid-to-late) 1st round pick next season. If you are referring to the off the court stuff with Miles then I would think you would see him transferring somewhere else to improve his stock for next years draft. IMHO he is taking a huge gamble which may wind up costing him millions of future earnings but perhaps his gamble will pay off. I wish him the best going forward.Pretty much agree. As another poster said this could also help him expand his game if he plays overseas. Up to now our system doesn’t seem to want/need for him to expand his game.
I am talking strictly about off the court as a reason to be done. It was a lot for young guys to go through. But why transfer if you can go to g-league and start earning $40k min to play ball. (If makes g league which I think a team would take a chance) this way he gets specific coaching for NBA and not worry about classes. I don’t see it as a huge gamble in his case. If Sears goes pro I would say that’s a huge gamble. It all depends what the scouts are telling him/them and based off that it’s a business decision so he knows how big a gamble it is unlike me.I don't know that I follow your logic. I was hoping that he would return. We need some size, and I really thought this next year would be a breakout year for him. Oh well, good luck to him.
Pringle, IMO, will be a breakout player next year. That one hurts quite a bit. He played a huge role defending the rim and they are now left with only Pringle. Losing Clowney and Bediako will be hard to replace.
