It's not a Crate G-60, that's for sure!
But that's what I'm stuck with at the moment. But even that thing is starting to short out on me (it's 20 years old and has been through hell). I've had a lot of good amps over the last 20+ years, and how this is the one I'm left with I'll never know!
Best amp I've ever played through is either a Mesa/Boogie Rect-o-verb, or the M/B Lone Star. I hope to get one of those sometime this year, although a very large vet bill may have put this off until next year. I also really like the Vox AC30, but the M/B's seem more versatile.
I've never heard of the Kendirck amp before, but if it's sound is in line with it's price, it should be a good one. There's another amp a co-worker boght and has told me about, but I forgot the name. Some guy in California builds them. I'll post a link when I get back to work tomorrow.
There are so many good amps out there now. A much different scene than my playing hey-days of the late '80's. I tend to shy away from the new "modeling" amps and a lot of the new guitar processors out there. I like to just plug straight into the amp. I always though if you have to go through a lot of effects, you have the wrong guitar/amp combo.
