Not as good as some already mentioned but Siran Stacy vs Tennessee in 1989 was up there on my list.
That is #1 to me and Shuan vs LSU a close #2. Both came in pretty much one half of a ball game. I hope I'm still around to see either of those topped.I still say Kerry Goode in 1984 vs. a Doug Flutie led Boston College is still impressive (297 all purpose yards including a 99 yd KO return TD) considering the fact he went out early in the 3rd quarter with a torn ACL. Injuries are part of the game but we can only wonder what kind of #'s he would've put up in that game. His dominance is evident due to the fact we were up 31-14 when he got hurt and ended up losing 38-31.
When I first saw this thread this was the very first name that popped in my mind, because it was truly amazing watching what he accomplished in about three quarters of play in that game.I still say Kerry Goode in 1984 vs. a Doug Flutie led Boston College is still impressive (297 all purpose yards including a 99 yd KO return TD) considering the fact he went out early in the 3rd quarter with a torn ACL. I really wish someone would post some highlights of Kerry Goode in this game on youtube. I've heard for years and years how incredible he was before his knee injury, but unfortunately I was too young at the time to remember the game, and have never been able to find any highlights. I guess the highlights are harder to come by since we lost the game.I still say Kerry Goode in 1984 vs. a Doug Flutie led Boston College is still impressive (297 all purpose yards including a 99 yd KO return TD) considering the fact he went out early in the 3rd quarter with a torn ACL. I'm very confused by this statement on several different levels.Alexander against LSU in 2006 was almost like a video game. I saw a lot of the same drive and tenacity in Richardson this past season. Too bad he had to share touches with Ingram.
No, didn't take it seriously, but it still caught me off guard...Surely you didnt take that as a serious statement.
Didn't we win that game with 56 points on the board? 56 to 28 or something like that? The game that stands out for me: Bobby Humphrey against TN. 1980's I think... I don't recall the year. Student body left; student body right; Humphrey knocking off ten yards at a clip. He was unstoppable that day. I watched the game with several TN fans. Their exasperation was priceless; which contributed to his performance being etched in my memory.
I didn't take it seriously either, but I guess it was just one of those comments that was like "wow, did he really just say that?"Surely you didnt take that as a serious statement.
My bad. I was supposed to warm up the thread with some James Garfield material.I didn't take it seriously either, but I guess it was just one of those comments that was like "wow, did he really just say that?"
I wasn't offended or anything, I guess it's just not everyday you see someone talking about a presidential assassination in jest on the internet.
Hump had 217 yards rushing that day, and Alabama did roll 56-28. A great day!Didn't we win that game with 56 points on the board? 56 to 28 or something like that?
