Really good win vs a Power 4 team at home. Team looked in control the whole game. Got a week to rest / heal up and get ready for an early season test.

As always, TideFans.com neither endorses nor condones gambling or any type of degenerate behavior. The numbers below are for entertainment purposes only.

  • Arkansas opens as a 4.5 pt favorite over Memphis
  • Clemson is favored by 16.5 over Syracuse
  • Tennessee is favored by 37.5 over UAB
  • Auburn is a 5.5 pt dog vs Oklahoma
  • Ole Miss is favored by 13.5 (?????) vs Tulane
  • Miss St is a 22 pt favorite over Northern Illinois
  • South Carolina opens as a 3.5 pt dog at Mizzou
  • Florida is an 8.5 pt dog to Miami (Mack's note: Easiest money you'll make this week)
  • Vandy is favored by 27 over Georgia State
  • Texas is a 41.5 pt favorite over Sam Houston State
  • No action yet for LSU vs Southeastern Lousiana
  • Bama, Georgia taking a breather

Enjoy the games!

Oklahoma -5.5 vs. Auburn @ Norman looks interesting considering Auburn couldn't cover at home against weak competition (Ball State and South Alabama).
Oklahoma all day! The Sooner defense will go after Arnold as if he stole their lunch money.
Mateer will pose a problem for the barn defense. Norman will be rocking and I think the barn will get exposed. -5.5 is too low, I expected a double digit number.

South Alabama had two opportunities to actually tie the game, but the Jaguars QB was too inconsistent. Major Applewhite will have that program turnaround , but they need to give him time.

I wouldn't touch either the Florida or Texas games...

Texas has the talent to accidentally put 50+ on the board, so they are just as likely to cover as not.

As for Florida, remember that they were two-touchdown underdogs to Ole Miss at the end of the season last year and won by a touchdown. Too much Jekyll and Mr. Hyde for me to trust them to do what they're "supposed" to do...

2-0 is a lot better than the alternative. Especailly two road wins and 1 of them being a division game.

I always thought Mac was Kyle's guy in the 21 draft, but he let national media bully him into taking another QB. We're full circle now.

It would be interesting to know what would have happened had they drafted Mac instead...

Take the under with Texas. Take over with Ole Miss.
