I didn't click the link but it is the Patriots. Its been reported on several of their boards for several weeks that they've already bern in talks with BOB about coming back.
I think this move would be an improvement for both teams.

Lots of players on the team have started following Dan Mullen on Twitter, according to people on another board who are on Twitter. Interesting. That means Coach Saban probably has someone else in mind. lol

Mullen would be a good OC as far as play-calling and working with QB's. I just think he is kind of weird and not sure I trust him with everything that goes on with the OC position outside of play-calling ( relationships, overall trust with Bama details, information, etc).

It’s never going to happen. Mullen HATES recruiting.

Maybe.

He did okay at MSU and was pretty 'meh' at Florida as HC (both in play-calling and developing QBs).

Mullen is still riding Meyer's coattails from his time as OC at UF, imo. That said, the average fan could have been a successful OC at UF under Meyer with the talent they had down there, so...

The only real benefit to Mullen would be his play calling/schemes probably more suited to the college game.

Mullen’s lack of enthusiasm for recruiting and his personality would be seem to be at odds with the CNS we all know.

Then again, I couldn’t see Kiffin meshing well with Saban so what do I know?
