Cajuns have never been known to hold their tongues. Bobby Hebert is very popular in Louisiana. Hebert is only voicing what many LSU fans believe. Miles totally mishandled the QB situation.

What probably infuriated Bobby was when Les said "I didn't see it coming." That is, after all, his job...
Hebert has the credentials as ProBowl NFL QB and a champion USFL QB. Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_Hebert

As a popular talk show host, he had press credentials, which he used to confront a coach who did a poor job, in the opinion of most Tiger fans. In the past, I wish we'd had someone with such passion to speak for our fans!

Hebert was stunningly unprofessional by doing that in a press conference when Les Miles was sitting on the podium. A coach should have to answer the questions of reporters and others attending the press conference, not sit there while he is being verbally attacked.

Hebert has his own radio show. He certainly has a forum for making his opinions heard.

Warranted, frustrated, representing the fans or not, it wasn't done in a professional way. That's why you're credentialed, because you're a professional and should know how to handle yourself. On another note, the way CLM handled the tirade was very impressive and my respect for him grew even more.

I can understand the frustration of thinking Miles should have gone more vertical and maybe even given Lee a shot. But the reality is this . . . Bama's defense was on fire Monday night. NOBODY was going to sustain a drive on that defense. And Miles realized this. Had he put Lee in, everyone in the Southeast knows what would have happened. He would have been crushed, just like JJ was. And IF he happened to get a pass off, well, even Miles knows Lee's history of throwing passes TO our defense. Cecil Hurt said it best when he said, "There was a better chance of Lee leading BAMA to a touchdown than there was of Lee leading LSU to a TD."

So, instead of chancing a very probable pick-six or two (or more) and getting beat 28 or 35-0, he chose the safe way out.

Can you imagine the cajuns reaction had Lee come in and thrown a couple of pick-sixes?? And the Tide wins 35-0, rather than 21-0? Additional insult to injury. The backlash would be 3 times worse than what it is now.

LSU fans should just be glad it wasn't worse than it was. AJ overthrew a wide open Smelly down the sideline for an easy 6. Maze had one more move to make for 6 on his punt return. Plus we had another pass dropped on the goal line. It could have been worse for them.

FWIW, go ahead and dislike this post too...

Hebert credentials or not, was very unprofessional with how he handles this whole situation. If only there were an idiot in the press when he was playing qb that drilled him about every mistake he ever made. Les Miles went 13-1 this year and beat the National Champs on their home turf. A few days ago, many made the argument that this was the best football team in the history of college football...you don't even get to this argument without being well coached. Hebert is jaded biased and annoying...go get on your show and rant about how your son deserved better, but the reality is, your son got whooped just like the rest of the LSU team on January 9th. Be a man and live with it, or be a boy and complain about it...

BTW, if you are the only person "dislike"ing post's then you are the one that is probably biased...

If only their was a way to "dislike" a "dislike"...hmmmm

He is right bout one thing: he is not a journalist. Sounds like he won't get a media pass there, ever again, as a result. Which is about right.
