This guy just oozes talent. 6"9" and so smooth. If he hits 3 point shots, he will be nearly impossible to defend because he has such a great mid range game and can play above the rim. Watch the block from the scrimmage the other day. He just has so much potential. I have not been this excited for a Bama basketball season in a while. I just think this dude is going to be a blast to watch. I don't know that he will top Sexton's freshman statistics but he definitely might end up being the most exciting player to watch that Bama has had in basketball. I know Sprewell, McDyss, Sexton, Robinson, etc. I saw all those guys play. I just think he is going to be special.

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.
Wow, let's let the guy play a real game first.
Guys at this level are pretty well proven out the gate at this point. Sure you get a few exceptions (cough Emoni Bates cough) but if you're a consensus 5* there's a damn good reason for it.

Miller is the near perfect wing for the modern game. Maybe there are a few growing pains early but I expect him to be a force by the time the season hits its stride.

He put on a show for sure, you may be right. It was just a scrimmage, but we may have seen an iconic Bama sports moment like Reggie King going goal for goal against Kentucky’s Kyle Macy in the SEC tourney (or Derrick Henry turning the corner against Arkansas for 80 and his first TD, or … think of your favorite). Miller will bring a lot of excitement to Bama’s game and we don’t want to miss any of it.

I don't disagree with your points, but the OP asked if he was the best Bama recruit EVER. That seems pretty premature for someone who looked great in a practice but hasn't played an official game yet.

Ennis Whatley ? Gerald Wallace ? Buck Johnson ? Ronald Steele ? All these guys came in as highly touted as could be for their time.

Really REALLY good question. As of now, this is how 247 Sports breaks down the all-time best recruit list for Bama. (keep in mind this is based off when they started ranking recruits in 2000)

I do agree with who they have with number 1 at the moment as far as "best recruit" (I won't spoil it lol). Brandon is definitely in the top 5 in my opinion though.

That's who I thought it would be too.

Miller may be the best recruit ever. Maybe not. To bamacpa’s list, I’d add Reggie King, Antonio McDyess, Bobby Lee Hurt, JaMichael (sp?) Greene, and Leon Douglas (who helped turn around CM Newton’s program in the same way that Julio Jones marked a turning point for Nick Saban’s rebuild of the football team.

It's funny when you flip over to ours and see that 9 out of the top 10 and 13 of the top 15 are Bruce guys. Man the Lebo/Barbee era was a dark time.

I looked at the list and saw Raymond Hawkins so I decided to see what had happened with him. According to his stats he didn't play a single minute at LBSU and is in the transfer portal again. I also noticed that Diante Wood had transferred to Tennessee Tech from Jacksonville and has had a decent career.

It's still early but I think I will end up being proven right about what I said in August about this kid. Best freshman in the history of Bama.

He has definitely been the most impactful Freshmen we have had to date. Of course, freshmen were ineligible to play for a long while, and Robinson was a Prop 48. As far as draft position, he will likely rival Antonio McDyess. That said, I think he is the most talented freshman I have ever seen at Bama.

His game is far more advanced than his age. If he can handle the attention he will have a beast of a season.

Collin has been the most impact ready freshman we've had up to this point. But we had a whole season of info on him to say so. His season at Bama was made up of the stuff that legends are made of ... especially his performance against Minnesota lol

Brandon is a better shooter imo and a lot of upside because of his length. If he continues to have that assassin tenacity and focused on growth, he can definitely earn that title by seasons end.

If you ever saw Charles Cleveland you might think differently. I still don't know how he did not make it in the pro's...IMHO, all time is a really, really big statement...Robert Horry also says hello...and TR Dunn...LOL!
My statement is about the best freshman ever to play at Bama. Horry averaged 6.5 points per game his freshman year.
