  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Re: Last Day for Braxton Miller decision

What would be the rationale for waiting until the last day? If he was coming, he should have already done so. But who knows these days. :)

To see if the SEC, after yielding on satellite camps, could regain its competitive advantage by holding a supplemental SEC draft?

How I feel. I think that if he were coming we would have heard more along these lines. While I may have missed it, I don`t recall seeing anything that in any way intimated that he was coming to UA. Certainly, he himself never said a word of which I`m aware. Having said that, stranger things have happened !

Re: Last Day for Braxton Miller decision

Today is the last day that Braxton Miller can enroll at Alabama in order to be eligible to attend summer camp. Cary Clark of BamaMag, who has several sources within the program, believes that Braxton will be transferring to Alabama today. It is still up in the air though until the 5 pm deadline. What are y'all's thoughts? Fingers crossed and Roll Tide!!

I think that this too will fail to end the speculation.

Re: Last Day for Braxton Miller decision

actually no. he's a graduate student. He don't have to follow their guideline. Graduate department doesn't have their own set deadline...
He has more time than you think.

http://graduate.ua.edu/application/deadlines/

The University of Alabama’s Graduate School general administrative office does not operate on a deadline basis. For domestic applicants, applications can be accepted and will be processed up until the start date of your intended entry term. However, most graduate departments do have internal deadlines which are MUCH earlier than this. These deadlines vary from program-to-program and year-by-year, so the Graduate School does not post departmental deadlines. It is your responsibility to contact your intended program directly to determine their internal timeline and deadlines for application review. For a listing of degree program contacts, please visit our listing (by college) at http://graduate.ua.edu/degrees/.

Re: Last Day for Braxton Miller decision

I think Cary Clark was saying that the deadline was for being eligible for summer practices, not necessarily for school. I could be wrong, though

I know and respect Cary, but I don't think this is correct. He may be talking about an internal deadline. However, we have have transfers come in barely in time for fall camp. We also have had players (Duron Carter, anyone) come in and participate in summer drills without ever becoming eligible...

Duron is coming back?!!!

Re: Last Day for Braxton Miller decision

@TimShoemaker Urban Meyer says Braxton Miller told him he will be at Ohio State this fall.

@TimShoemaker Urban Meyer says Braxton Miller has started throwing. “Up to 35 yards, I think.” Said he’s aggressive up to 25 yards.

[h=1]Urban, on Braxton: ‘He’s playing for Ohio State’ this fall[/h]

Notice that he didn't say he would be "playing for" Ohio State, only that he would be "at" Ohio State this fall. So it really depends on what your definition of "at" is. Blue font

Funny that his name was brought up. I talked with his uncle yesterday and supposed to have drinks with J.C. (Duron's uncle) on Monday if I have time after dropping my son off at his mother's in Atlanta.

Re: Last Day for Braxton Miller decision

Cornwell > Miller
are we already writing off Coker???

I think Cornwell is good, but how good is a mystery that noone can answer. Atleast Braxton and Coker actually have thrown a meaniful passes and have stats to go back on. So how can you actually say Cornwell is greater at this point than a two year starter that has a 24-2 record. But maybe Cornwell does win the job, and has an awesome season, but I think its way too early to bet the farm on it. either way it goes we will atleast have 9 wins maybe more if our defense is as good as advertised.
