Snitker has been with the organization for 49 years as a minor league player and manager and major league coach and manager.

He led Atlanta to 811 wins, six NL East division titles, one wild-card berth and the 2021 World Series championship in his 10 seasons as manager.
in an era where loyalty is not valued, I value his loyalty. I like Snit and have defended him on here many times. I'm very glad he realized it was time to let go.

Now can we do something about the "Braves get rid of a player that comes to life with their new team" syndrome??
Yeah unfortunately this has been the Braves “modus operandi” since i first attended a game in 1968. They also have played the “take the wild swing at washed up has been” game well throughout history.

Don't miss Swanson at all.

He's a sub .250 hitter that K's 160+ times a year with an OPS barely above .700

Fried and Freeman we messed the bed with.
Everything you said is true, but even with those numbers, Swanson would be an improvement over Allen. That is how much of a disaster Allen is at the plate. To me, it shows that whatever "eye" AA had for talent is completely gone. Lets Swason walk and then just decides to ride with Arcia for a few years, then Allen. Both of whom are statistically worse than Swanson.

Personally, I think AA should be gone as well, not just Snitker. The number of talent AA has let walk and then not replaced them with anything worthy is pathetic. He got lucky and struck gold in 2021, but ever since has been a crap fest. I don't expect that to change this year. I can't wait to see who he lets walk and what pathetic scrub he signs to replace them.

I don't believe anyone thinks that AA preferred players like Arcia or Nick Allen over Swanson, and they clearly are not as talented as Dansby. The core issue is money. Swanson's contract is $25 million in average annual value, while Nick Allen made $750,000 this year.

At the end of the day, AA is hamstrung by the fact that a publicly-traded company, Liberty Media Group, owns the Braves and is simply not willing to spend the kind of money that billionaire owners of teams like the Mets, Yankees, Phillies, and Dodgers are. While it would be great as a Braves fan, we're not going to have a team with a $300+ million payroll like those in the NY/LA markets any time soon. Sadly, the only thing that will get us there eventually is inflation, and by that time, the Dodgers are going to have a payroll north of half a billion.
