"I always go back to what Coach Bryant used to say about celebrating when you score a touchdown. "Act like you've been there before". By touting our National & SEC Championships we are bragging about our past (there's no need everybody already knows). However, if we don't throw those items in peoples face we are more inclined to look toward the future and our next National & SEC Championship.
I'm all about the Alabama Tradition and I love the video but we don't have to brag about our tradition...it brags enough for us. I just like to intimidate our opponents and the new addition to the stadium will help with that! 92,000 Bama fans will be VERY LOUD."
AMEN!!! Very well said!!! I think the flags that are currently around the stadium are enough. We should let our past speak for itself without shoving it down everyone's throat like we're overly insecure about it. Here are some other suggestions:
1) Kill the constant Jumbotron ads. Also get rid of all the goofy flashbacks of some obscure game in the 50s narrated by Tom Roberts. Those kill the stadium atmosphere in my opinion. Instead of doing something to rev up the crowd during time outs, we have these boring flashbacks on the jumbotron.
2) Improve the concessions!!! There's no reason the concessions shouldn't be top notch with a wide selection of food and drink that doesn't run out well before the game ends. On that same note, I wouldn't mind seeing beer sales at the games although I know that will never happen because of NCAA, SEC, and other rules. It would lead to improvement #3
3) The stadium simply needs to be LOUDER more often!! I don't know if some sort of seating arrangment would help, but it needs to be louder. I know that many people claim that standing rather than sitting doesn't make a difference with noise level but I tend to think it probably does. We need to figure out some way to get fans out of their seats more often and make more noise more often. I so much hate to admit it, but the 20,000 Auburn fans at the Iron Bowl last year were louder than the 60,000+ Bama fans. There is no excuse for that.
