That major already exists. No doubt, a 4th or 5th yr guy at Bama slated in the 2nd round or lower will be better returning than playing for a current rookie contract in the NFL.
The school really needs to develop a major these kids can enroll in where the learn about all the facets to managing brand value and wealth building. If this kind of money is really available to you, you better know how to handle it and make it last. Achieving that is worth a degree.
I'll pass.We can all help out with NIL compensation, just get all your family and friends to follow current Bama players on social media. Even if theyare not active on it!
This also crossed my thoughts. Also, will focus be increased or negatively affected with all these offers coming in. Will this be a case for these athletes of "I've got my mind on my money and my money on my mind"Yep & Yep. Of course the bigger issues that coaches now have to worry about is, if you're doing all this NIL work, when are you studying and going to class? Also, how does this affect team chemistry that Bryce is getting $1MM and his OL is getting $10K (or whatever)? Hoping this is not as much of a problem for Bama's guys, but certainly one that will crop up in lots of places.
My guess is players like Bryce Young, who bring in the big endorsement deals, are going to have to hire a "business manager" to handle their business/financial affairs. I know Coach Saban is probably way out in front of this and has put something in place for the players from the University. This also crossed my thoughts. ... and Jeremy Shelley...Phillip Doyle (in particular) and Michael Proctor would like a word with you.

He might have been talking about Tiffin Jr. after his Rocky freshman year he was pretty consistent.
It is still weird that as good and reliable as he was Leigh Tiffin missed the last ever kick he attempted.he's not allowed to make a point from a guy with the same name as his father. He HAS to mean Van because reasons. Just like I have to specify when I mean WES Neighbors, hey hey.
Nah, you've got a point. You can tell I'm old because Leigh Tiffin's name flew right over my head.
They should just sell jerseys with the national championship count and not allow players to use that number. That is the only fair way on jersey sales. They can offer every number for sale.the jersey issue is probably going to be still too complicated to get done. There are a lot of strings attached and Alabama probably is going to no go it.
But I’m sure the top athletes will do something for Nike.
Again it’s most likely more complicated than that. Fair or not fair it’s probably best Nike puts Bryce in other apparel than an Alabama jersey. They should just sell jerseys with the national championship count and not allow players to use that number. And just like when Coach Saban asked the football world "Is this what we want college football to look like?" when addressing the rules allowing offenses to do what they do and limiting the defenses to what they can do. Then he turns around and shows them what happens when he decides to play by the new rules. We put offenses on the field that now allows him to dominate even more. I think he's doing this the same way, he's basically saying "Okay guys, y'all wanted this, now you got it. Now sit back and watch us win more titles. AAAIGHT!!!"What I'm about to say has nothing to do with anyone on tidefans, prople are now complaining about what coach saban said about bryce getting close to 7 figures in endorsements, when at first the nil was going to be great for the college athlete if it had been a player at New mexico State you wouldn't heard anything but people saying see i told you so, but since it's Alabama and Bryce as well as Coach Saban this isn't right and it's bad for college athletes you made the rules now live with the consequences!
And here's the thing, we have no idea if he personally likes the new NIL, but simply understands the ever changing landscape of college football. Granted, I may have missed a quote or something where he states he's for it. But Coach Saban has shown the ability to adapt to things (like the high flying offenses) that do not fit his personal preferences but understands that change is necessary to survive.Saban really stands by his players. He was in the BLM March so people would attack him and not the players. Now he is all on board with the NIL. For a guy almost 70, he is pretty with it.
In fairness, this wasn't a SEC or NCAA driven movement, but certainly Coach Saban is going to not only take advantage of it, but do so in a way that gives him a competitive advantage. And just like when Coach Saban asked the football world "Is this what we want college football to look like?" when addressing the rules allowing offenses to do what they do and limiting the defenses to what they can do. At age 60, and I’m only working on my 3rd million at present.Fortunately, nothing can possibly go wrong with 18-year olds who become overnight millionaires.
