SEC PRESEASON PREVIEW:
ARKANSAS RAZORBACKS

The 2004 Arkansas Razorback team finished the season 5-6, and on draft day, lost QB Matt Jones, arguably the most dominant individual to play offense in the SEC since Bo Jackson. So why is it that this year's team may stand a chance at bettering last year's record? The answer comes in an offense that will be more productive as a whole if the team can get play that rises to level of simply competent from the quarterback position. Defensively, Arkansas has work to do. Of any bowl contender in the SEC, the Razorbacks have the most question marks in its front seven.

Arkies area already counting a BCS post season based solely on defense. Herring has fired up the fans with high hopes. With the talent available on D, I doubt he will even come close to meeting their expections. Look for Nutt and him to be seeking a new home after this season. Broyles( and the big Fayetteville money boys) won't accept a 6-5 season with Butch Davis sitting on the sidelines waiting for Mama to call.

I agree somewhat with HogTide however I think that if Nutt wins 7, he is solid for another year. If he loses Mitch Mustain in the recruiting wars, and then wins only 6, he is history. Looking at the schedule, which includes Southern California, I can only pencil in 6......hello Butch. ....the wooooooooo

... Some times you feel like a Nutt, some times you don't......

Best of luck, except against us!

Say what you will about arKansas, but one thing I know is "most" of their fans are as nice as ours. I have gone to a game there for the last three years because my wife's family moved to Springdale awhile back. I have never had more than a few rude comment from the fans there. Even when we blew them out a few years ago.
