Dug up is right. 4 or 5 years ago. They really went digging just to find it.
I'm sorry, but anyone pontificating and posturing on misogyny doesn't get a free pass at spouting racist comments.

I'm not even a Cam fan but this is - for the most part - ridiculous. Was his comment stupid? Yes.

But this is rapidly becoming a bigger and bigger problem of mob rule.

I'm sure y'all know the resident witch of political correctness, Christine Brennan. The woman is SUPPOSED to be a responsible journalist, but she's one of those who ASSUMES any man accused of domestic violence or rape is guilty WITHOUT any hearing. She tore into the guys in the infamous Duke lacrosse case, for example (as did much of the male sports media who didn't want to be seen as aiding and abetting a bunch of white dudes).

She got to ripping away again on something and I confronted her with her own BS. Keep in mind this is a so-called journalist supposedly pursuing truth.

She blocked me from responding.

Naturally, she will never be taken seriously on any subject by me again.

I mean, this is nothing more than the religious right mentality going across sports. If you get all haughty and righteous, you get no mercy when you're revealed to be a snit yourself.

People are human, people make mistakes, and I try my best to give everyone a chance to at least say what's on their mind and clarify rather than ASSUME guilt (the exception is when someone puts something out there too delicious for irony.....like say if Jim Bakker was condemning someone for paying to cover up adultery).

And we've gotten to the place we sometimes turn verbal irresponsibility into "gotcha."

I agree this was a stupid comment. I do think the yogurt company went a bit overboard in firing him. This will blow over quickly as soon as someone else says something stupid.

Amusing, but I would hardly call those "racist" tweets.

Agreed. Someone simply searched her tweets for "racist" and other terms. The two with "racist" don't show her laughing at racist jokes like the article says, either.
Isn't it true that even though Dannon pulled his ads, he still remains under contract with them and is still being paid?
Correct. His advertisements have been pulled, but they don't have legal grounds to stop paying him.
