Re: Clinton-Dix

This whole situation is quite confusing. Why dont we want Hart (besides the fact that it may scare away Crowell)? I think Hart is a playmaker that can play a variety of positions and we could really use someone like that for our offense. Plus we get HCD in the package, why not?

I may be off here so with all the knowledge base on this board.......I'm sure a more precise answer can be given. First, Crowell would not be scared away by Hart so I don't think that even enters into the thinking at Alabama. Two very different backs. Crowell does fit Alabama's scheme better than Hart. And I'm sure that's why Hart committed to Michigan because he would fit in that scheme better. Here is what I'm not sure about. I heard Alabama didn't have room for an EE and Hart was going to be an EE. So I feel sure Alabama would take Hart but not as an EE.

Re: Clinton-Dix

Lots of folks just before marriage start having second thoughts and even start to look around a little before making the big plunge. But in the end when it comes down to it most end up realizing what attracted them to the person in the first place and go thru with the commitment. Called having cold feet or something I think. Don't know him or have any knowledge to his thoughts but I would expect he will remain with his first love when all is said and done. But if not there is plenty of fish in the sea.

Ha'sean Clinton-Dix, Gators, 'Noles, Alabama, LSU, Dee Hart: Sorry Gators, 'Noles, but Ha'sean Clinton-Dix reveals new twist -- It's Alabama or LSU; will Dee Hart follow? - OrlandoSentinel.com
Clinton-Dix says the recent news about him possibly considering other schools does not concern Alabama, which is practicing on the Dr. Phillips practice fields this week in preparation for Saturday's Capital One Bowl against Michigan State.

"They don’t ask me too much about it," said Clinton-Dix, the No. 1 safety in America according to Rivals.com. "I know my commitment means a lot to them and they know my word is my bond."

He stopped by one practice this week, but that has been it. His teammate Hart, however, has been a consistent on-looker.

"I went by there Sunday and it was cool at their practice, but I could only stay for a minute," Clinton-Dix said. "But Dee's been going all week."

I'm confused. Is his word his bond or is he considering LSU?
HCD says Bama is not worried and neither am I. I am confident if there were any real reason for Bama to worry about HCD they would be in all out damage control mode. The article and quotes from HCD seems to be very good news. For one thing HCD says that he is not considering UF or FSU which has been widely speculated in the press and throughout the Internet boards. More importantly HCD says "I know my commitment means a lot to them and they know my word is my bond." Not to mention the quote about Hart visiting Bama's practices, " but Dee's been going all week."

Things are looking good to me.

Name a better coach in the world for a defensive back with high hopes for the future to play for? Name one!!! There ain't one! He will be in Crimson like he said months ago. I don't have any inside info but what would make him change his mind this late in the game? Auburn is not even on the radar are they?

No they're not. I guess we'll find out with Hart here in the next week or so, if he doesn't enroll early with someone by then chances are pretty high that he signs with us IMHO. Either way, I don't see Ha-Ha going anywhere.

i think the idea is, anywhere dee is wanting to visit I'm "interested" in.
This is EXACTLY what I think is going on. Its extremely clear these guys are best friends. I'm at the point now where I'm almost laughing along w/ them. Its like Hart is kind-of quiet, but Clinton-Dix keeps dropping hints about Hart to get everyone riled up... and then Hart replies to his friend, "C'mon man!"
