I think it is likely precautionary against illness. When they aren't at practice, they're usually sick. If they're hurt, they'd likely be around the facilities.

We can only hope and pray that it is a cold or something extremely benign. If it is something more it would be a huge loss and a really bad way to begin 2010. We need to keep his talent on the field and the chemistry of OL intact.

My guess and hope is that he is just sick. Nice to hear Donta Hightower and Damion Square are back albeit not playing obviously. Sounds like they have both made great progress so far.

He's had a nagging problem he's been playing with since mid-season. If you look back at the tapes, you'll see that it's limited him somewhat. However, he's still been productive and I expect he'll make the bowl...

I doubt he's out, but if he is, there's a huge difference in our LT being out last year and this year......The bowl game this year is a BIG DEAL, last years bowl game was not. Saban and Pendry will have a LT ready to play, whether it's Carpenter or his back-up, you can be sure of that.
