CBS just reports news due today (MERGED THREADS)

The CBS crew just reported, "We are being told we will know something today regarding Coach Mike Shula." Anybody know anything more on this announcement today??

CBS says Shula decision coming later today?

Just announced during Arky-LSU halftime show that they would have information on the future of Bama later. Manning seemed to think Shula was done, Tillman thought they should keep him. Is this just a ploy for ratings?

I heard that as well. All three also said we should keep Shula considering the circumstances. Archie Manning said whoever is at Alabama will win next year. He said the program is in the right direction.

What in the hell gives anyone the idea that it's "headed in the right direction?"

I mean, there are arguments to be made for keeping Shula (although I find none of them compelling), but even those arguments acknowledge that changes must be made. I can see absolutely no basis for arguing that the program is headed in the right direction.

Guys thought I heard Manning dissent in that assessment... could be wrong... However it should not matter news today will be to retain CMS no coach out there would want to have his name surface before his game is played tomorrow...

Either way this is the best news for Bama recruits and staff to get the news today... Let's hope someone has got it right for a change...

I'm putting you and your brother on the coaching staff and making you the highest paid assistants in the country as long as you call plays within my philosophy. And, my philosophy is to score and not run up the gut 3 times in a row.

At some time I will find a way to incorporate beer and female nudity into my coaching philosophy, but first things first.........
