The Alabama O should explode.

Michigan still has parts. It’s a deep team, and there’s talent there, but there’s a real shot the team will be missing close to ten starters.

Again, the team already made its season in Columbus. Alabama will look to set a tone for 2025, and Michigan won’t be able to keep up.

I didn't realize that Michigan had so many opt outs.

That's unfortunate as I was hoping the game would be competitive.

Fiutak and I have been going round and round on twitter lately - I've (generally speaking) always liked his approach but lately we seem diametrically opposed in our view of CFB.

I hear ya and understand.

I just wanted some resistance so that we are challenged to play hard and maybe get some of the young fellas some experience that's not a blowout.

My main concerns are always..

1) Win
2) No one get hurt
3) Face enough adversity to get better

I won't frown on a 55-0 win or anything though...lol

Now that the exit dust seems to have settled, here's what I've counted for Michigan's players missing the RQ Bowl. These #s were compared to their official 11/12 game 3-deep depth chart for O, D, and ST, although QB and RB rooms are (were) larger:
OUT due to opt-out of injury -- 12
Questionable due to injury -- 6
Lost to transfer portal* -- 15
Not declared yet / possible opt-out -- 2
Coaches departed -- One -- OC Kirk Campbell fired after OSU game
Interim temp OC is TE Coach Casula
Notes:
* QB room fell from 5 scholarship players to 2, although #2 QB Alex Orji is technically available for the game though declared for portal
** RB room has fallen from 6 scholarship players to 2 (Hall and FR Marshall)
Lost All Big-10 players = 7
Lost All-Americas = 3 (depending on which service used)
