CKD on the Difficulty of the Current Four-Game Stretch

  • Hi Guest, we are working on updating the site servers and software. We're also 'forcing' everyone to read and agree to our site privacy policy and terms of service. There are no significant changes to either of these but the terms page does clarify a few things that are mostly in the legalese. You can just click the checkbox for both and continue using the site as usual! We'll update you more on the site upgrades VERY soon! THANK YOU AS ALWAYS for supporting the site and being an active participant!

Interesting statistic: Every team we have played so far this season was undefeated when we played them.

This week, we play UTe who has one loss. So through seven games, our opponents will have lost a total of one game when we play them.

Is there a team in the country anywhere close to that?

I think DeBoer wins at least one national title.
That’s a flip from week one! Haha

I am much more optimistic for this season now. Who knows where we end up. But if Ty came back for next seasons think we’d have a great shot at a title. I don’t think we lose a lot on O and with a full season of experience finally under his belt, I think he’d be phenomenal.

but but he’s not Nick Saban and must be fired immediately because he doesn’t look like Nick, sound like Nick, listen to Nick’s music, dress like Nick, do press conferences like Nick, doesn’t fly off the handle like Nick, doesn’t wear a straw hat like Nick.
Don’t forget about his losing to three unranked opponents after showing up prepared like he was going to a quilting bee.

If he has that part straightened out, I don’t care if he wears a tutu and eats tofu burgers.

FSU doesn't really count since it was the first game, but I can't ever remember a scenario where we faced nothing but undefeated teams between weeks 2-7 before. It might have happened, but there is no way anyone can convince me our schedule is anything but the hardest in the country.

That's also assuming DeBoer and staff don't slip back into old habits. They reeled off five straight games where the team played inspired, disciplined (overall) and relative to the talent on the roster. If they can continue doing that, it's hard to believe at least one title isn't that far down the road.
