How many coaches and maybe even players can they lose and still be considered for the playoffs?

I’m not sure.

If the near the whole staff and roster gets dismantled it completely changes the picture.

I’m hoping the team will hold together somehow because this just isn’t right.

It’s also a bad precedent to set for other programs in the future.

There has to be something done about tampering with a Playoff team’s season before they can even see it out.

So if I am on Lane's current staff and he tells me get on the 2nd plane or see ya, not sure I want to "follow" him. Just shows me how he feels about me as a human being. Or am I just being too harsh?

IMO Lane continues to try and fill this void he has within himself and I truly don't think he is ever going to fill it no matter how successful he is. He is always and appears he will always be searching.

The giant buyout money won’t be there. The guvnuh fired the AD because he had been the author of the two largest buyouts in history. It won’t be small by any means but it won’t be crazy money.

My point was he will still be fired. I give it 3 years.

Who the heck does ole miss go for? James Madison coach? Duke? What AAC coach is available? Apparently the AAC has the best coaches, since everyone wants them.

Me either. He's a darn good coach and will help the barnyard. UGH...
But will he? It’s still agbarn. But also the second team running this offense in this conference. UF used to kill everyone because they were ahead of the curve on the pass happy offense and the only one running it. Everyone caught up to it and now everyone does it. Teams ran the NASCAR offenses and were ahead of everyone because of the speed. Teams adjusted. Now everyone does it. The more familiar your opponent becomes with what you do, the less effective it is. UcheaT is still good, but without the perfect players in all the right places, they aren’t indefensible. I feel like this is what it is, a P5 coach trying to step on to the big stage. Ain’t many of those can handle the big stage and have the same successes they had on the small one.

It’s being reported by ON3 now that Lane is giving an ultimatum to his Offensive staff that if they aren’t on the 2nd Plane to BR today they won’t have jobs there after the season.

He’s being introduced as LSU’s new HC tomorrow.

He’s also encouraging OM players to opt out of the CFBP

He is a villainous piece of excrement.

I mean just knifing the entire program in the back and holding his staff’s feet over hot coals.

He doesn’t care about anyone but himself.

He’s becoming CFB’s #1 Bad guy in real time.
I hope the players and coaches kindly tell Lane to bugger off.

LSU is also in serious debt from what I’ve read. Severe mismanagement of the athletic department. Getting “things” at LSU might be an issue. Yes, the quality of athlete available in La. Is high. And everyone knows it and tries to poach it. I doubt they give Lane the keys to the kingdom to run things how he sees fit, and they, like all high profile schools, have folks with their spoon trying to stir the same pot others are.

Kiffin seemed to figure-out how to work NIL and the Portal *faster* than most other coaches. I suspect many HCs learned by watching what he did.

I pray he's not also showing other coaches how to "work" switching teams / schools in this era. Because this maneuvering is classless [fertilizer].

If I am Ole Miss, my 3 choices would be Matt Campbell, Brent Key, and Brian Kelly in no particular order. I think Kelly would do fine there considering their expectations are typically lower than LSU. Key and Campbell are both studs too.

Not at all. Kiffin spent over a week "agonizing" over his decision; now he's asking coaches to make a snap decision?

He did “a lot of praying” last night…. To whom or what, we’re not sure.

How anyone could’ve been fond of him coming to Tuscaloosa is beyond me, but I’m glad the PTB here have sense enough to keep it from happening.

Key would be about the best they could hope for honestly.

Campbell gets a lot out of less talented teams but ultimately still has seasons around 8-4 or 7-5

Brian Kelly is toxic biohazard. No one should touch that guy no matter how desperate.
