I really hate this for the OM players. A lot of work goes into college sports and to have this happen at this point in the season is awful.

Not a Scarbinsky fan but this does give Barn people (particularly my son) some concern. His first words were “Hope we didn’t back up the Brinks truck to get him”. $7.5 million base that could bring $9 million or more per year based on incentives.

Not only that but this has to be a gut punch to the OM community as a whole, the best season in modern OM history and the coach leaves, what a way to realize no matter how good you are, you'll still never be good enough in some eyes.

Quite simply, he should have stayed. A good man, an honorable man, stays in this situation.

This is not the college football world we all grew up in. Ole Miss has deep pockets. Deep enough to get what is needed to compete for titles (has that not been proven this season???) What is Kiffin chasing at this point except to glorify himself?

He will regret this day.
