Wowowowow didn’t see that coming. Penn st is gonna have to go all in on daboll or promote within. Man did they ever misjudge their attractiveness. If they don’t get daboll it’s gonna be a steep drop in coaching acumen. What a misstep this was

Yeah, the PSU community seems to think those are the only two viable options at this point. There’s a handful of them that still seem to think DeBoer is a legit option and that the AD is just waiting until the end of the season, or at least until after this weekend.

There’s been some pushback on Terry Smith (the interim HC) because he has been an overt supporter of Paterno and his legacy, which is pretty bad for optics.

Jeff Brohm is staying at Louisville from what I hear.

I compared his exit to fRAN's departure from Alabama to Texas A&M in 2002, and I stand by it. He quit on his team. He lied to them, led them on, used them for his own personal gain.

He will live to regret this. Or maybe not, as narcissists tend to struggle with honest self-reflection.

He will likely experience the consequences of his decision without recognizing the regret. That is why he keeps making the same poor decisions over and over again. He has no capacity for regret.

The State Penners can't be that dumb. Certainly they have something in the works they think is a homerun yet keeping it under wraps until all is finalized. May be something out of the box too, like a Jimbo Fisher or Brian Kelly type hire.

Cignetti's current contract is over $11m/year and being at Indiana isn't hurting his chances with the CFP, so it seems unlikely - but there's zero question that PSU is a much better job from a legacy standpoint.

Cause he’s repeatedly gotten cooked the last two years with superior talent. Not to mention his only experience is where he’s at under the direction of one of the best coaches coaching. Would be a blind hailmary in a midnight snowstorm level hire. Their fans would burn the state down.
