I have listened to him twice in the last year or so, both times have been in the last two weeks. Two weeks ago he was gushing about now that everyone can pay for players the SEC can’t compete. Sighting USC‘s number one recruiting class as evidence, I think at that time Alabama had the number four class and Georgia had the number six class, but the signing day wasn’t done. Bama had 4 decommits that day , but since have signed two others to move their class to number two in the country , and the only reason USC is number one is they signed 35 players to 22 for Alabama.

Cowherd has always had a low-key dislike for Alabama. Everyone remembers him saying they had a Saban problem in 2015. I also remember him touting USC under Spurrier as the dominant program to be in the SEC. HIs college football takes are comical.

Cowherd once said Gus would run Saban out of the conference and would take over the SEC.

This 78 page thread is a bit stupid. Many separate threads on particular jobs would be easier to get info from.

New to these parts I see. It could be different threads for every position coach , coordinator, head coach etc spread over 20 threads, same with every position issue with the offense instead of one thread, every individual game instead of one time slot thread, then when you want to look for something that interested you earlier in the day, you have to go back 6 pages to find it.
I’m a member on other boards, I like to read their perspective. It is hard sometimes to follow along. On this site, usually what you read about yesterday is still interesting enough to be on the first page. If there are storylines that require an individual thread, one will usually be started . Like Kiffin. Besides, it works for us.

Curious why anyone would call Freeman or Lanning BEFORE Cignetti? He's the only one of the 3 who is truly proven. Freeman was born on 3rd base. Lanning was born on 2nd and has only made it halfway to 3rd. Cignetti also seems like a better cultural fit.

So now it appears that Warde Manuel, Michigan AD, was aware that Sherrone Moore had mental health issues and had been struggling with some of those issues in recent weeks. Some backlash now because he fired Moore without an HR representative present.

I don’t see how Michigan lets Manuel make the next coaching decision. The guy could screw up a one car funeral procession. Harbaugh, Sign stealing, coaches destroying evidence, recruiting violations, Juwan Howard basketball coach punching another coach and later attacking one of his own staff, gymnastics scandal, and hockey program issues among other disasters.

And now Sherrone Moore. I think Manuel gets canned and someone else steps in to make this new football hire.

Much like Finebaum, Cowherd has made a career of having "hot takes" and declarations, and yet, despite being more wrong than a weatherman, he still has a lucrative career financially (good for him). These guys have the ability to create conversation, and if that means making a wrong hot take, they do not really care how accurate their words are. Much like other prominent people today, they believe simply declaring a statement makes it true, until proven otherwise.

I heard them as well. I have no idea what GMac said on Sportscenter. I don’t watch Sportscenter. I would rather drink my coffee and watch my dog dump in the backyard in the morning. However, I heard on Mac and Cube on WJOX the same thing you did. He basically said the reason DeBoer is mentioned is because he was mentioned as a possible candidate to replace Harbaugh if he should leave Michigan.

Yeah but that doesn’t feed into the apparently self-satisfying narrative that Greg has sold Alabama out and is basically indifferent if not hostile to the school and the program now.

McElroy needs to take a deep dive into a shallow manure bucket.

You get on that show and say that your Alma mater is the most prestigious job in competitive football and he was chosen to follow the greatest college football coach of all time and he would be a clueless clown to consider that freak show in Ann Arbor, and Kalen DeBoer isn’t a clueless clown.

He does just the opposite.

Why aren’t they talking about Michigan fostering an environment where bosses are sleeping with their subordinates? SOMEONE HAD TO APPROVE THAT PAY RAISE SHE GOT. Everyone in that facility knew what was going on, and nobody said anything. He would still be employed if she hadn’t come forward with evidence and shoved it down their throats.

I boggles my mind that some here still like Mcelroy. He's a complete French shower bag who only cares about himself.

The bolded sentence above should be nominated for sentence of the year. I feel the same way about everything ESPN with the exception of some college football games. Well said CB4!!!

I'm right there with you. In the past my wife knew when college football started I wasn't going anywhere on a Saturday. I missed the AU and SECCG to take her on a trip and it didn't even bother me.

I carried my girls roller skating during the Georgia game! Not only have the changes in the sport changed my love for it, I’ve realized with my daughters there’s much more important things in life than a 4 hour football game every Saturday. Might be different if I had boys but my girls just don’t care about it lol
