and TT? I've only heard a little wrong doing that they have been involved in....but heard a lot about what Texas has done
Texas Tech I could understand. Texas? NO WAY. If a HC can't have top 10 recruiting classes at Texas he is not a good HC. In fact he would be a really bad HC. A true shame when Alabama, Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and USC think they have to cheat.

Re: Colin Cowherd

Just a point of clarification for some folks. From reading the above quotes, this appears to be a "major" news source claiming that violations occured. Those expecting some kind of NCAA anouncement will most likely be disappointed.

Re: Colin Cowherd

respectfully disagree. if you cheat, you pay the price. CFB will survive regardless. it has in the past, it will for the future. CFB is bigger than ever, more money and more bowls are examples that this sport is a monster that keeps growing.

as for SEC teams getting the punishment, I could care less. you think SEC fans care about Bama, they start rumors hoping it sticks to bring our beloved Crimon Tide down. Alabama can only benefit from their demise. speaking of demise, I hope its auburn and tennessee 10x over!! if you play by the rules, you don't have to look over your shoulders, period.
I'm with sjc, if it ain't Alabama then I am going to put my official "Who Cares" stamp on this and anything else Cowherd reports.

Well we had a coach leave a school that was a coach in waiting at Texas, but then again how bad did he want to be the Fla coach.

Re: Colin Cowherd

The Oregon thing wouldn't be a total surprise. They do seem to have an embarrassment of riches when it comes to just "stuff". The whole Nike deal seems to be a huge recruiting bonanza. The CEO of Nike could really help throw a lot of money around to influence kids to come to that school.

Re: Colin Cowherd

I recall when a basketball recruit recently announced his intentions to play at Oregon on ESPN, he said, "I'm gonna play for Nike. I mean, Oregon."

Literally, not kidding.

Re: Colin Cowherd

So that would mean that BOTH teams in the championship game cheated to get there. Wow. What does that say for college football? :frown:

And I wonder if it is under Kelly or Bellotti (or both)??

Actually, it would be both if it was last year since Bellotti was the AD.

Re: Colin Cowherd

seems like its always going around that someone's about to get hammered by the NCAA, but no one can say who. Just a little burned out on everyone's
"sources", JMO.
This ^^^

I've never heard anything about Texas.

They may be in trouble, but Oregon is not a top 10-12 program. Colin Cowherd or some people may think they are, but they are not. One national championship game appearance resulting in a loss and few good recruiting classes does not qualify as a top 10-12 program.
