I guess since we play 11 games that means they see Bama going 6-5 again. I would be disappointed with 6-5 but those results are very possible. If they predict 7-5 at least they have us winning at the MCB this time. 7-4 in the regular season would get Bama to the peach bowl in Atlanta.
Does anyone recall their predictions last season. A guess at top 25 is difficult enough but then to try and predict what polls eligible teams will attend is haphazard at best. It would be an attractive match-up simply because of both teams tradition and fight back to the top.
I wonder why this guy thinks Arkansas would get the peach bowl over Bama. They would have to finish higher than Bama to get the invite. The peach is a larger payout and "higher" bowl, and if it were a tie between Bama and Ark, they are going to invite Bama over Ark. What is this guy thinking?
7-4/8-3 could line us up in the Peach Bowl with an ACC opponent, or it could also result in a Houston Bowl invite with a Big 12 opponent. CFN has TAMU slotted in the Houston Bowl.
13-0 BAMA vs Sooners in the ROSE. Oh Yes, it will happen. Put this in your nut file but I truly believe the Tide has arrived. I had the Tide at 8-3 last season but did not know the entire backfield would be gone in the first 4 games. Never saw that one coming. BAMA was a solid 9-3 team with a healthy backfield last year. If all goes well the Alabama Crimson Tide has arrived. Coach Mike Shula SEC/AP Coach of the Year.
It really just depends on which writer is doing these things. Their team preview has us picked to go 8-3 and beat Arkansas, while they pick Arkansas to go 6-5. That certainly does not line up with these bowl picks.
You guys know good and well we are just glad to have something to talk about. We say we hate all the writers who write against us and love the ones who write for us, but the key is that we read all of it. I am just now beginning to really get ready for football. I try to keep my mind on other things during the summer, but at some point I always start thinking about fall Saturdays. Roll Tide.
If we have a respectable year (ie: 8-3/9-2) and OU and Texas are both tied up in the BCS, I don't see any way the Cotton bowl picks someone above Texas A&M and us.
