I knew those dang chrome domes would crack the top ten in the AP, not surprising. One more win by the chromers, and then the media will have just what they want, USC and Notre Dang 1, 2.

For USA Today top 25, we dropped two spots to 24th this week, but at least Auburn is out all together now, lol.

1. USC (59 first place)
2. Texas (3 first place)
3. LSU
4. UCheat (Tie)
4. Virginia Tech (Tie)

There is no way that FSU is a top ten team! I would accept ND's ranking over their ranking this week. :mad2:

In a way I'm glad we are not higher this week. A higher ranking will come after we win against South Carolina.
True dat, but like many others, I am not really all that worried about the rankings, just collecting those "W"'s.

How do you win a game and lose two spots in the coaches and be 26th for the third week in a row in the AP? I guess next week will decide if we can get a little respect or not.

Notre Dame beat two top 25 teams on the road in back to back weekends...one of them the #3 team in the nation.

They also looked pretty dang impressive doing so...even with a first year coach.

We, on the other hand...

How dare you make sense, be unbiased, and give a little credit where credit is due.

Why are you confusing me with facts? :D However, I think only ND could go from unranked to 10th in two weeks.

Player, did you watch the game? nd played great defense but how well did the 2nd year QB play for Michigan? On the fumble that was lost...It really hurt them but thats part of the game. A nd player reaches down and picks up the ball and they go from 20 something to #10. If they win another game I guess they will be #2. Media darlings, Now be honest..If they played Ohio St. on Saturday would you pick them to win even if they played at nd? I don't bet on games but if I did I'd take OSU.

Yes, I did watch their game and I saw Brady Quinn move the Notre Dame offense almost at will on the vaunted Michigan defense.

They went on the road and defeated two top 25 teams in back to back weekends...one of them the #3 team in the country. They are, at this point, by those accomplishments exactly what they are ranked - a top 15 team.

I dont know what OSU has to do with anything in this regard but I am picking ND to win its next three games. Charlie Weis is one of the most underrated coaching minds in the world and if things keep clicking for Brady Quinn he will be a Heisman candidate by the end of the year.

If Alabama had opened with wins over the #22 and #3 teams in the nation with a first year head coach, I promise we would be getting just as much attention.

It's good to see the Irish returning to prominence. Now maybe we can join them here in about 3 weeks.

It's NEVER good to see nd do anything well. As I read on here a few days back ...and I quote, "...I would even cheer for the University of Hell if they were playing nd...." 'nuff said.
