If we're on ESPN, I don't see it being a day game. This one will be made for prime time! (I hope)

While this is an old news post, this is all I found on the net (tidefans included) concerning the kick off for the UGA game:

Source: OnlineAthens.com
ESPN has picked the Sept. 27 Georgia-Alabama game in Athens as a priority selection, ESPN's Dave Brown confirmed but the network hasn't announced the game times after the first three weeks of the season. ... All SEC football games and most basketball games on Raycom will be available on HD, according to Jimmy Rayburn, Raycom's vice president of operations.

This according to Jimmy Rayburn, Raycom's vice president of operations.
As far as Raycom... I've been working during the games so far this season (and have ESPN Gameplan)... have the Raycom games been broadcast in HD?

The Raycom casts, at least in NA on Comcast, have been coming in with HD in good resolution...
I watched some of the UAB-Tennessee Game this week on OTA HD. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality (with exception of the announcing, that hasn't changed.)

I figured this game would be on CBS, i can't imagine them not wanting this game.

On dish it's still coming in on regular definition. Last year it looked awful on a LCD. It's tolerable this year.

I love the night games. Get up, start up the smoker, do yard work, eat lunch, watch games, take the meat off smoker, eat supper, and then it's game on!

Not exactly. CBS and ESPN "draft" the top 10 games before the season. ESPN gets 3 of the 10 games. They get something like the 4th, 7th, and 10th picks overall. I'm sure those aren't exactly right, but it is something like that. Outside of that, CBS gets the first pick every week. ESPN also has Auburn-LSU as one of their picks, which is why that game is on ESPN this weekend.

Even though ESPN is able to reserve those games, you will not see them officially announced until a couple of weeks before the game, because they still want to be able to change their mind. This system will go away next year, as the new CBS deal gives them first pick every week.

Nice, a night game between the hedges. Are Kirt and Brent calling the game for ESPN? Is there a game on ABC Primetime at 8 PM that night?

The night ESPN game would not be Kirk and Brent (Thank goodness for all of us watching LOL...Don't mind Kirk, but Brent's another story)

My guess is you'll have Patrick and Blackledge (Could another Britney comment be in the air  I don't think Herbie and Musberger do ESPN games, but I could be wrong

So does that mean gameday will most likely be in Athens?
That would look to be a strong probability . The only decent games other than ours would be Ill@PnSt or VaT@Neb .
