I will echo those thoughts as well. Bama made the plays to win, we made the mistakes that cost us a win.

Thanks Steelvol! I feel fortunate we won the game. Take away a FG block and the game goes the other way.

OTOH, take away a couple of Bama pass calls and substitute running plays and it might not have been so close at the end of the game... :conf2:

I will admit I was privately drinking the kool-aid all week. I just could not wrap my head around why people were calling this as a close game. I was thinking Bama would run away with it and man was I wrong. We escaped by the skin of our teeth.

UT played one heck of a game and gave em' all they could handle. Man, what a game. This is should be one interesting rivalry for the next few years.

UT has a much improved team and the defense looks great. I don't know if I'll ever be a fan of Kiffin but I cannot deny the gameplan and the effort. Maybe, just maybe, with Phil out of the way things can get back to a normal level of good, clean hate. My hat is off to you and your team. That was one hell of an effort.

UT played their hearts out today. It was the kind of game I figured it would be, but a WHOLE LOT closer than I imagined.

Y'all nearly had it and we nearly lost it.

Now, thank God we have an off week next week.

Great game....I remember us blocking a FG in the final moments years ago to win 6-3. I am glad we have a week off to relax and work on some offensive issues. We looked hesitant and very tired in the OL in the fourth quarter. But we won...and that is what matters. If you win a national championship you win some games like this along the way. ROLL TIDE!

I'm still POed about some atrocious play calling on our part, but UT play a helluva game. Never thought it would be this close. Lots of respect for UT for playing so hard. Both teams played hard. It could have gone either way.

Yeah I agree.....Gators and LSwho have a seat.....the REAL KINGS of the SEC are back and it is HIGH TIDE some of these young uns realize the truth if the matter....my prediction after nxt yr winner of the TN/AL game is NC plain and simple...ROLL TIDE!!!! any1 have any anxiety medication I need some!!! Yeah, this is the hardest I think I've ever seen a Tennessee team play. I think it was also obvious that Monte Kiffin had 2 weeks to scheme our offense. The UT game is going to be tough one for years to come.
