To NY Bama Fan --
Bennett was not only accused of sexual assault, he pled guilty and served prison time. I'm sorry for your friend being the target of a false accusation. But I don't see a parallel between (1) false accusation, and (2)confession and conviction.
Bennett's a rapist -- he confessed, he was convicted, and he served time in prison. No way to prove this one way or the other, but I'd bet OJ Simpson's legal fees that if he hadn't been Cornelius Bennett the ****** football player, he would still be there.

Tough crowd. Last time I expressed an opinion, I linked articles. I was told that linked articles meant nothing, and that all opinions, no matter how ill-reasoned, were equally valid.
Regarding my thoughts on Shaun Alexander's and Shaud Williams' preferences: you've got me. I have no articles to link in which either have said that they would prefer not to be associated with convicted felons. If you can find some that say they would like to be associated with such people, I'll make a public retraction of the assertion.
Likewise, if you can find anything anywhere that would indicate that either Pat Trammell or Paul Bryant ever expressed tolerance for rape or wife beating, I'll make a public retraction of that assertion, too.
I'm dumbfounded to find that a significant number of Bama fans on this board feel that forgiveness and redemption for rape and wife beating (or at the very least, willful ignoring of inconvenient facts) can be earned with lots of tackles.
