Ditto. Was sitting in the student section @ Legion Field that day. SOOOO much fun to watch the Biscuit play; offenses basically had no answer for someone that big & fast & strong. Pity the RB who stepped in front of him trying to block him, and the QB when the RB missed.Great player, I remember that hit against Bureline like it happened yesterday.
I agree. I was old enough to know what was going on back in the eighties and was even in attendance at the 1986 game against Notre Dame(still even have my ticket stub), and I can say that as good as the biscuit was, Derrick Thomas was better...Bennett was one of the best ever, but I never saw anyone take over a game like Derrick Thomas. He destroyed Penn State in 1988.
