I sure hope not. But, I just read where he definitely want's a shot at QB and he want's it early! He sound's like a guy who wont' budge on his demands. We can't afford to lose a guy of his attributes, but I just have a gut feeling that if he doesn't get a shot at QB soon, he just might look for greener pastures. JMO. :frown:

Can't blame him for wanting a real shot at the job. Hes proven himself as both a QB and as a leader. I sure hope the staff was't just paying lip service to giving him a shot as a QB, the fact that he's a great athlete shouldn't be held against him. Myself, I prefer a QB to be a great athlete. After all, it's the most important position on the field.

Good grief, relax man. They've been practicing for 15 minutes and you're worried that a true freshman is going to be transferring? CMS has said he is going to play QB. Yeah, so he wants to play. I would be worried if any kid coming in didn't care about playing. He has, however, also stated that he knows that redshirting is a possibility (something you either overlooked or left out in your reading). Some of you probably have huge ulcers considering all the worrying you do.

The Snake came in behind Joe Willy and S. Slone. If JJ does not have the patience necessary as a freshman then he's going to have a long year or 2 or leave and if he goes to another D-1A his wait could increase.

I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion given the fact that he has been practicing for all of 20 minutes now. The staff would like to redshirt him because it is best to redshirt QBs. And, if he is redshirted, that means that Croyle has stayed healthy and/or JPW has shown himself to be an adequate backup. Playing a true freshman at QB isn't something any coach of coordinator wants to do, but I wouldn't say that he has been counted out of the picture already. It's day 1 for goodness sakes.
