Seebell, I represent dat remark!

Banjeaux! I have subscribed to the Slidell Sentry News and The St. Tammany News. They are airmailed to my house daily. I am also on the Fox8 TV news alert.
I scour them daily hoping to see something like "nekkid elderly gentleman arrested at the crawdad festival. He was strumming a banjo while singing Ole Susanna and reading a copy of Paul Ryan's Path to Prosperity." So far no luck! (It'a joke Banjeaux)

That’s a joke, I say that’s a joke son

Randy Travis' truck found abandoned in Texas field

OH NO! NOT AGAIN!

http://www.chron.com/news/article/Randy-Travis-truck-found-abandoned-in-Texas-field-3816046.php
FRISCO TX — A truck registered to country star Randy Travis has been found tipped over and abandoned in a Texas field.
The Dallas Morning News reports the truck was found on Saturday morning in a field behind a Walmart Neighborhood Market in Frisco.
Police say they are investigating but haven't yet been able to talk to Travis.
Travis' lawyer, Larry Friedman, says a ranch hand was using the truck and Travis will follow up to find out how it ended up in the field. Friedman says Travis rarely uses the truck himself.

Re: Randy Travis' truck found abandoned in Texas field

I jut went through this thread again and we were laughing at him. Surely someone knew about his problems at the time and could have helped him get straightened out, on the right meds, etc.

I've never been a fan of his music, but I hope whatever demons he's had are gone and that he can recover from this. It doesn't sound good.

RT and Patty Loveless were on a USO tour that came to our base back in '87 when I was stationed in Iwakuni, Japan. Randy had a reputation even back then of slipping away from his 'handlers' for a little recreation. Darker rumors began to swirl in the late 80's and early 90's among the small-time musicians and honky-tonk owners I ran around with, but he seemed to get a lid on them for some time. IOW, I don't think this is a five- or even a ten-year downhill trend. I believe it's much deeper.

Much like Johnny Paycheck he was like that when she met him and never changed. It's been a life-long thing.
