From the Official Daniel A. Moore Website:

Relive one of the most exciting plays in this college football season with this new release by 2005 Sport Artist of the Year, Daniel A. Moore.

This fine art print will capture Roman Harper's fumble-causing, game-saving hit on Tennessee's fullback, Cory Anderson.

This time-limited release, available as both regular and artist's proof editions, will be strictly limited by the number of orders received by December 9, 2005.

This ought to be something to own!

Agreed. I've already contacted my art dealer (Sherrill @ The Downtown Gallery in Tuscaloosa) to let her know that I want it.

LOVE THE TITLE!

Hope Daniel sends one to Phattimus!

Sure he is, he'll have to be pried off of the BAMA football gravy train.
Look, if Bama wins its lawsuit, Moore will have to pay license fees for this print, as well as the others. Therefore, the University will get what it's due. On the other hand, if Moore prevails, UA was never owed anything in the first place. Either way, let's not beat this dead horse again. If you're excited about the print and want one, great! If not, just leave it alone.

While that is true...I do find it ironic that here is a situation where he's been saying, "Please buy my prints of events at the University so I can have more money in my case against the University..."

Terry, are you on the mailing list, too. I received a promo for the run in the swamp, from 1999, where it said proceeds would go toward his defense. I have no dog in this fight but I too find it interesting.

Yes, I received that mailing also. I've also been privy to some of Moore's email correspondance concerning this whole fiasco.

I'm of the opinion that if you have some of his prints, keep them. I don't see a need to get rid of them. Yet, we haven't really had a moment in the last few years where there has been a print I've wanted.

If we end up being undefeated this year the UT print will by no means capsulize this season...especially considering the season UT is having. In fact, you really can't point at an individual play all season long that is defining. One only needs to look at 4 awards from Pontiac and a 5th being voted on this week to affirm that.

My apology, I didn't realize I needed your okay to respond to a thread.

Well pardon me for not wanting this thread to turn into the umpteen millionth thread rehashing the Good UA vs. Bad D.Moore or Good D.Moore vs. Bad UA debate. As I alluded, that poor dead horse has been beat to death over and over and over again.

Someone graciously posted a piece of information that some of us found of interest. I had already seen the article in the T-News and placed my order; however, had chosen not to start a thread in hopes of avoiding yet another debate. Once the thread was started (as information--not debate) I figured what the heck? My comments were not intended in any way to be seen as choosing either side in the debate. Those who have read my comments in the aforementioned previous debates know that I am withholding judgment. I just really hoped we could have one thread about a piece of art without rehashing the tired debate. Guess some here are just incapable of that.

Man, Daniel Moore is costing me some money this year. I already dropped about $375.00 on the Prothro print. Guess ill have to cough up another 375.00 from somewhere. I told my fiancee that all the Daniel Moore Bama prints that are released from here on out I am getting for my Bama Room in our house. They tend to mean a little more I have found when you are there in person when these things happen. These prints to me help to relive those great emotions that you were feeling when these things happened when you see them hanging on the wall. Just my two cents.

Our mods are quite capable of policing the threads on this board without outside assistance.

...and if we did a better job of policing them ourselves, it would take a tremendous burden off of them.

Have you seen the previous threads on the Moore debate? The mods themselves have commented over and over about the poor dead horse! Just one thread. That's all. Just one thread without it turning to a freaking debate. Is that too much to expect?

I think I'll go look and find all the aforementioned threads. If any are not locked, I'll "ttt" them and you can post to your heart's content!

I'll swear to you. When I saw this thread this morning I almost pulled it from the get go. Simply because, I knew it would end up starting another debate on what is right and what is wrong.

Guys, we have enough good things going on and enough troubles to talk about without getting into it again, don't we?

Please, let's just let this thread die of its own volition.

Well if you feel that the Tennessee win was not that special this year because of UT’s record, I’m cool with that.
I, myself feel that it was great.

Here is why.
1st. I have had season tickets since 93 and had never seen us beat UT in person till this game (2005).
2nd. it was Tennessee’s first defeat at Bryant –Denny since they lost here 18 to 6 October 18th 1930!
And 3rd. I hate Tennessee and

phat phill!!
For me this was monumental!
In the overall scheme of things maybe it was not that great, except for me.
But when it comes to a person’s passion for The University of Alabama to each his own.
Now if we win out and play for a NC, it will still mean the world to me.
If we had beat them 40 to 0 it would still have felt great but to win 6 to 3 is awesome because we kicked them straight in the teeth.
We lined up and just slapped them around and took this game because we wanted it more!
Yeah I’m cool with that.
Roll Tide beat
LSU!
