I think they'll be better next year because they have a year under their belts, they'll have a lot more practice in, and more time spent in the weightroom watching videos. Plus some guys could come in and start next year (i.e. Andre Smith if he comes) and would be the best player on the OL next year.

... and they aren't as good as they were 6 weeks ago. To my untrained eye. I see more missed assignments and more false starts. Yes the competition over the past four weeks or so has been tough, but I expected to see at least progress over the course of the year.

Between the redshirt freshmen and our incoming freshmen, we will have a lot of raw OL talent. Let's get an OL coach who can develop it properly, teach them proper technique from day one, and build a unit that will terrororize DLs for four consecutive years.

KD is more than ready for the NFL. he is a dream of a RB.
i couldn't blame him at all for leaving BAMA if he chose to. the offensive coaches at Alabama do not appear to take running the ball very seriously, and that trickles down to the fact that KD won't be able to get enough carries at BAMA to look any better next year than this year.

23 carries was the most he got in a game this year. And the averages 5 yards a pop!!! With ZERO blocking.
I hope to goodness he stays; but after his injury last season and seeing diminished number of carries and an OL that keeps getting worse and worse, I would understand if he wanted to make the jump to the league.

Heh, I'd leave if I were Darby, period. Not out of bitterness, but out of practicality. It is pretty crazy how few carries he's getting in a pass-happy offense that can't even keep the QB from getting sacked, much less achieve even a short-yardage completion.
Not to get off-topic, but it would be one thing if it ever worked. . . however it hasn't.
I honestly believe our O has a future next season with Wilson, but we need to make a change or two, likely in both game-strategy and personnel.

If the coaches' trained eyes see improvement on the OL, then our problems are a whole lot worse than any of us thought.
And if you almost hurt yourself rolling around on the floor laughing, you should cut back on the sauce. Oh well, at least you can laugh about what was probably the worst on the field performance of this team in a decade. Good for you.
That loss last night was a coaching loss top to bottom. We were less prepared on offense and defense. Auburn went right after our biggest weakness (OL) and then had a perfect offensive strategy to neutralize our defensive speed and it worked perfectly. We were OWNED in the first quarter and it was game over 10 minutes in.
I don't know what game you were watching.

He is intrigued with the possibility of being the first Bama back to have three 1K yd years in a row. Also, his mom will have to change her mind for him to leave. OTOH, if he does leave, you'll know that, first, he's decided the OL has no upside. Second, his mom will have changed her mind. BTW, CBC always grades his OL high. I don't think they've been graded below 90 this year. Even yesterday will be graded at least 85. Delusional? You make up your minds. Also, he hands out props in practice not for blocking your man but for practicing his favorite technique properly. Auburn failed to cooperate properly, however. As Tuberville said after the game - "...we used mostly the bull-rush." CBC's position is that no one in the SEC uses it any more. Just one more example of dastardly non-cooperation by the Aubs. IOW, they used blazing speed to get around guys who had their weight back on their heels...
