Another Bama forum just posted that in a BOL article Glenn Harbin "made it clear he was Bama bound" and is "making his commitment tommorow." I'm not a memeber of BOL, so has anyone heard anything about on BOL?
Well then, the writing on the wall says Quinn to UNC. Come on down Mr. Harbin!Word in Mob is he already called the staff.
Wonder if he'll qualify:biggrin::biggrin:Seems about right. The barn just got another 3-star guy (Savage). We get another 4-star.
I think Bama has been his favorite all along, but with the numbers crunch, I'm not sure if Bama was planning on taking him. I think the staff decided to take him because they think RQ is going elsewhere.. JMO of course. This one shocked me. He gets back from visiting the visor and USC on 1/21 and says that USC is his favorite. Now, 9 days later we're his pick? Makes me nervous.....
Any insight as to what might have happened to change his mind?
The numbers obviously aren't known. But he has been a Bama lean the whole time.I think Bama has been his favorite all along, but with the numbers crunch, I'm not sure if Bama was planning on taking him. I think the staff decided to take him because they think RQ is going elsewhere.. JMO of course.
Green never factored into this equation IMHO. Like others have said I believe once the staff felt their chances at Quinn slipping away they turned up the heat on Harbin.Just an educated guess on my part but chances are that once the coaches realized Green was sold on UF and that Quinn is likely headed to UNC it made the decision to take a commit from Harbin a no brainer.
Gotta like keeping the kids in-state.
Correct.Green never factored into this equation IMHO. Like others have said I believe once the staff felt their chances at Quinn slipping away they turned up the heat on Harbin.
That is what I like to see, a recruit that knows where he wants to go and takes it when it becomes available. Guys who let their ego get in the way and make rash decisions because they were not "first choice" most times live to regret those decisions. There can't be a lot of difference in the talents and the one that wants to be at Bama is the best choice for Bama.
Come on down, Harbin!!!!
