IMO, this is a flip waiting to happen especially with the comments regarding Pruitt and trust (I think his trust is obviously midguided but.....).here is the whole excerpt.
"I am taking an unofficial visit to Florida this weekend," Walker said. "It just happened with coach Pruitt leaving Alabama. He was the only one I really trusted. I loved him, he loved me. We had a real good bond."
Walker talked about his high interest in the Gators.
"It's close to home," he said. "A lot of good friends go there. Just talking to coach Muschamp and having him talk to my mom about everything. It's all pretty good."
"I still consider myself an Alabama commitment," Walker said. "I am still solid, but I am looking around. I would say I am 90-percent committed. I just want to see how I feel when I visit this weekend. My comfort level is the biggest thing."
we will know soon enough about his "comfort level" after the UF visit.
I would love to get this guy, but just because he wants to go to another school or take all his visits doesn't make him a prima dona. From what people have posted here that know him, he seems to be real humble and have a good head on his shoulders. It doesn't make someone a bad person to pick Florida over Alabama, if he does.Connect the dots. This guy is gone. And frankly, if he's struggling that much with his decision about being here, he's probably better off going somewhere else. Give me 3 star that desperately wants to be here over a 5 star prima dona that waivers to the end on his decision anytime. Hopefully we get Liner on NSD. We'll be fine without him.
I agree and didn't mean it that way necessarily directly toward him. Please reread exactly what I said.I would love to get this guy, but just because he wants to go to another school or take all his visits doesn't make him a prima dona. I gotcha, and agree with you on that point.I agree and didn't mean it that way necessarily directly toward him. Please reread exactly what I said.![]()
When I connect the dots..I think he's taking the Florida visit just to get the pressure off his back from the Florida folks..I can't imagine the pressure these kids are put under when they commit to an out of state rival school..DeMarcus has said he'll be an EE at Bama..I'll take the kids word for it until proved otherwise..Connect the dots. This guy is gone. Shoot, he told Andrew Bone he was still "90% committed to us." That to me speaks volumes. Frankly, if he's struggling that much with his decision about being here, he's probably better off going somewhere else. Ugh.....1) I hate it when kids have to go through things like that. 2) Don't like it when momma is against us.So this out there and makes more sense.
Spoke with Coach Geiss and this is where things are.
Demarcus used to live with his father who is very structured..They had a falling out over Thanksgiving and when the Dad took DW's car away, he went to live with his mother.
The dad wants him at UA...Mom wants him at UF.
Coach Geiss has not been around DW very much since he got done with HS earlier this month and has moved to the other side of Jville to stay with his Mom.
This concerns me about his attitude. He gets in so much trouble with his dad that he loses his car. So instead of taking his punishment he leaves. So what will he do when he gets in trouble with coach? Sounds like a trouble looking for a place to happen.Demarcus used to live with his father who is very structured..They had a falling out over Thanksgiving and when the Dad took DW's car away, he went to live with his mother..
No offense, but please dont say that. You have no idea what happened and what the situation is. From all indications Demarcus seems like a very good kid. Please know all the facts before you make assumptions like that. Thanks. This concerns me about his attitude. He gets in so much trouble with his dad that he loses his car. I'm not making an assumption but expressing a concern. I hope the concern is unjustified, but until details are known this is a red flag. But I'll leave it up to Coach and trust his judgement. No offense, but please dont say that. You have no idea what happened and what the situation is. We don't need details. Its none of our business. Now if it becomes a public record like say in an arrest or something, that changes things!I'm not making an assumption but expressing a concern. A lot of 17-18 year old kids do some things that are considered crazy or bad by other people......most simply aren't under a microscope like these star HS players/recruits.This concerns me about his attitude. A teenager getting upset when their car is taken away is a red flag? Seems pretty normal to me.......but until details are known this is a red flag.
