This soap opera in Minnesota gets uh better. One of the candidates to replace the pedo is former state RNC chair Jennifer Carnahan. It’s why she’s former that is…..

In 2021, Carnahan resigned as the Minnesota GOP chairperson amid pressure from within her party following the sex trafficking indictment against Republican strategist Anton "Tony" Lazarro. Carnahan was under fire for her ties with Lazzaro.

Florida debates lifting some child labor laws to fill jobs vacated by undocumented immigrants

Florida has been working for years to crack down on employers that hire undocumented immigrants. But that presented a problem for businesses in the state that are desperate for workers to fill low-wage and often undesirable jobs.

Florida’s Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis and the state legislature have a potential solution: children.

This Eichorn story keeps getting weirder by the day.

Brittany Eichorn, Wife of MAGA State Senator Justin Eichorn Files for Divorce After Teen Sex Sting Charge

Summary:
- we find out he and his wife were parents of four kids, although it seems to suggest maybe all four are NOT biologically his and hers (e.g. adopted, foster, maybe a previous marriage)
- Eichorn called from the jail cell to a woman to retrieve his computer and other things from the apartment he uses in St. Paul
- the FBI had already secured the apartment
- the FBI found cash, an I phone with the factory settings restored, memory cards, and a gun
- based on his verbiage, this may not be the first time Eichorn has purchased sex
- mandatory minimum of ten years if he's found guilty

GOP Slammed Biden’s Voting Order as Federal Overreach — But Praised Trump’s

When then-President Joe Biden issued an executive order in 2021 aiming to turn federal agencies across the country into voter registration hubs, Republicans were outraged.

Perhaps the most prominent charge they leveled against the order was that it amounted to extreme federal overreach. In press conferences, congressional hearings, and lawsuits, Republicans portrayed Biden’s initiative as a Washington power grab that encroached on states’ constitutional authority to run their own elections.

For the first time ever a political party has slammed the other side for doing something and ignoring their own guy doing the same thing.
While the "both sides" observation applies here to a limited degree, it would be refreshing to have some comments on whether posters agree with the actions or not. Otherwise, it's just more of the generic "there's no difference between the two parties" stuff.

About the only thing right now that separates the two parties in a "both sides" argument is the fact that it was the self-proclaimed patriots of a Republican loser who succeeded in doing something that the brave souls on United 93 (that these same self-appointed patriots praise) prevented from happening.......the US Capitol wasn't attacked by Al Qaeda, but it most certainly was by supporters of a self-immolating clown.

Both sides are corrupt. Both sides lie incessantly. Both sides exaggerate. Both sides do not for a moment want to be pinned down on specifics. Both sides invoke state or federal authority depending upon whom is in charge. (It's so funny to me how "states rights" is racist unless you practice states rights like Democrats did during Covid without using the WORDS, and then it's suddenly okay). And yes, both sides QUESTION ELECTION RESULTS publicly, but at least as sleazy as it was when the Democrats did it, they stayed within the framework of the rules. And in 2000, look, you had the key state just by chance controlled by the brother of the opponent in a close race in one state and had won the (it doesn't really exist, folks) popular vote, so you had some leverage. That bothers me far less than 2004 or "well, the electors COULD elect someone besides Trump" in 2016, even though technically both of those were within framework of the rules.

And only one side has pulled their candidate who clinched the nomination out of the race SOLELY because polls showed him losing and replaced that candidate in hopes of winning the election, and it wasn't Trump's party. Biden could have been the same dottering old man, but if he'd had a ten-point lead in the polls, they wouldn't dare have switched him out and everybody knows it.

Serious question here:

What is the over/under on how many days before someone is either fired or resigns in this classified info fallout?

I will go with less than nine.

Sure, both sides are hypocrites and scoundrels to varying degrees. However, my issue is that people often shout "both sides" rather than address the original post. That doesn't further the conversation and conveniently allows one to negate the point without taking any sort of stand one way or the other.

This is a valid point, and you will find me your etsrwhile ally on such a point. Then again, the common refrain from the left for 55 years now has been to dismiss anything they don’t like as being “racist.” And it is true, sometimes policies are or positions being advocated are, in fact, racist. (Rest, assured, I am sure this has nothing at all to do with their heavy dependence upon the African-American vote, and I am equally certain that the moon is made of green cheese).

But no, it is not true that anyone who uses the phrase “law and order” or who uses the phrase “states rights” is automatically a racist, either.
Nor is it true that wanting some form of an immigration cap automatically makes one a racist.

I agree that using the hackneyed cliché “both sides” is far too often used as a means of deflection or an attempt to not address an issue.

Rep. Victoria Spartz: "If you violated the law, you are not entitled to due process."

Without due process, there is no process to decide if you broke the law.

What she's really saying is "if we accuse you of breaking the law, you go to a gulag."

Totalitarianism.

If they're willing to deny constitutional rights to non-citizens they don't like, they will try to do the same to citizens who don't toe the line.

I just don't think they care about perception.
What's been reported on several sites - and not just the usual suspects - is Trump is basically ticked at the incompetence of Waltz (and he's about as forgiving as Darth Vader) and that EVEN VANCE sees this as a disaster, but they're going with, "If we fire him, it gives the Democrats and media what they want."

If polls flip enough on it, he will. Trump already set a record last time by flushing something like 1/3 of his entire staff (and he didn't even fill all of the positions) LAST TIME.
