:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Why was he hiring undocumented staff to begin with? That is against the law and takes away jobs from actual citizens or people who came here legally. The Department of Labor should implement a huge fine on this place.

It is the height of hypocrisy to publicly oppose illegal immigration if you are supporting it by hiring them. But the owner is a Trump supporter and Kid Rock’s name is on the place so I’m not holding my breath on the DOL investigating their employee roster.

They don't care if their voters die. Understand this.
I think even erstwhile MAGA stooge, Josh Hawley seems to be getting it. I'm sure he's worried about the hailstorm coming in the midterms if the MAGA party continues down the road they are on.

But I'm sure he will show his bravery by voting for the cuts anyway. Find a way to blame the Demcrats for why he did it.

I was stuck at my parents house yesterday morning and all they watch is Fox News. Goodness, was it mind numbing.

They had a GOP representative on talking about the protests outside the SCOTUS and the protesters who interrupted the RFK hearing. Dude sat there with a straight face and said, "democrats love protesting and demonstrating, but it never works, but it is not right to force your way into buildings and disrupt government proceedings. There should be legal consequences for that behavior."

I sat there thinking huh, where was this concern when Dictator Trump freed the J6 terrorist? The rules for thee, not for me GOP.

FoxNews reminds me of the days of when Vladimir Posner used to appear on Ted Koppel's ABC nightly show with the Kremlin's view of things. Far less eloquent, but full of the same 100% bull hockey propaganda.

During the 2016 campaign, when Trump was continually stepping on his Johnson with things that would have sunk any other candidate, every network other than FoxNews was covering the gaffe/allegation.....yet FoxNews was 24/7 bashing Hillary.

Because like the war on drugs we don't like to fix the root cause of problems. I've said it on here before if they created a process similar to H1B for these workers and fined companies into oblivion for not following them it would be way cheaper than this deportation nonsense. People wouldn't come here illegally for jobs if there were no jobs for illegals. I feel like these people fill a void in the workplace and they need to be here, but there is not a realistic leagal avenue for them to do so in a timely manner to help with this work. There is a reason janitors, kitchen staff, field workers, etc are immigrants. Domestic workers don't want to do these jobs.

With climate change, outdoor jobs, like roofing have become almost unbearable for lightly-pigmented people. It's not a matter of desire, according to construction folk I know...
My cousin is in the home contruction industry. He does project managment type work for larger subdivision builds etc. He says the same. Basically Hispanics are the only one that reliably show up to do the work and they work hard while they are there. Not so much for the "locals."

At the risk of sounding racist (or stereotyping), that's exactly what I've seen. My son is about the only white dude who will show up - he just wants to work and make money.

My ex-FIL used to lose his mind and this was 20 years ago when people would tell him, "Mexicans are taking jobs white people will no longer do." He would twist into an absolute rage and insist that wasn't true, it was the fault of seedy employers who would "hire illegals so they could pay them cheaply and get around tax laws blah blah." And I'm not denying stuff like that happens; EVERY apartment I've rented the last 25 years in Texas has always had a guy "off the payroll" who is their maintenance guy who......disappears one day and we're told IHS (or whoever) picked him up.

Air conditioned office or sweat outside isn't a difficult choice for most white Americans - especially if the pay is about the same.

It's bad enough in north Alabama. I'm down in Houston, where they're setting a new record nearly every day, and it's only mid-May. It's about 50% Latin here, total population...

26 hours and 33 failed amendment votes: This is Democrats’ masterclass in resistance
In the marathon committee session, Democrats showed how best to challenge Republicans on Medicaid.

For a party that has been shut out of power in Washington, what happened this week in Room 2123 of the Rayburn House Office Building was a masterclass in resistance.

Over more than 26 sleepless hours that began on Tuesday afternoon and continued into Wednesday, Democrats on the House Energy and Commerce Committee pounded the panel’s Republican majority with 33 amendments, most of which were aimed at stripping the GOP’s “big, beautiful bill” containing politically toxic cuts to Medicaid. In the hallway outside, police arrested more than two dozen protesters, many of whom were in wheelchairs.

Every one of the amendments failed, as Democrats knew they would. But their coordinated assault on the centerpiece of President Donald Trump’s legislative agenda framed a powerful narrative that is shaping up to be the party’s most potent message heading into next year’s midterm elections.

MAGA voters are idiots. This will make everyone else’s healthcare cost go up. Hospitals will raise their prices to cover the losses from nonpayment and everyone who is insured will cover it (meaning I private insurance costs will go up.) Another side effect is this will decimate rural healthcare, but I guess we are in the Find Out stage so I’m just going to sit back and eat popcorn while they do mental gymnastics trying to blame Biden.
