Frankly, the reason kids are so ridiculous these days is because they've been raised by parents who are ridiculous. Did those two guys help Colorado seem respectable the last two years? Absolutely! Is it a huge joke that Sanders' number is retired? Absolutely! Hunter won the Heisman, so I can at least see an argument for that.

I now think Alabama should retire a jersey to honor "Ears" Whitworth. I mean, he had to watch three awful Alabama teams play and lose 24 times in 30 games. Surely that deserves some sort of recognition...
