DeMeco Gets a Contract Extension

I posted this on the Pro-Sports page but figured most wouldn't see it over there. Since we are in the off season, I thought I would post it here too. (Mods move it if you like.)

Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting DeMeco has a new deal worth $48 mill over 6 years with $21.75 guaranteed and $26.3 over the first three years of the contract.

I'm glad to see him getting the money he deserves. It seems he is the anchor of the Texans D.

I love watching DeMeco play, and pretty soon he's going to have a lot of company. The NFL is going to be so much more enjoyable when its overrun with Bama alum. Watching Ingram and Ro and Trent and Julio light up the Sportscenter highlight reels is going to be whats up.

For many years I've heard sports announcers talk about Penn State as "LineBacker U". I wonder if over the next few years Bama will stake their claim to that moniker. Sure seems like we're on our way to seeing a proliferation of dominating Bama players in the NFL.

Penn State has had a lot of great ones, but I wouldn't trade our legacy for theirs, or anyone else for that matter.
