Did Alabama submit a bid to host a regional?

If not, why?

Is there a down side to submitting a bid other than getting turned down? If you get turned down would you lose any money?

I had read that they did not. They felt that the 7, or 8 ssed in our tournament would not get to host. Most feel like there will be no more than 4 regionals awarded to SEC schools.

Also, as a season ticket holder, I would have been sent an order form, if they had bid, and I was not notified.

Yeah, I didn't think about that. I'm a season ticket holder also.

If Alabama were to win the SEC Tournament it would seem they would be considered if they submitted a bid. I can't understand what it would hurt to go ahead and submit a bid anyway.

What he said. When the bids were due we were not playing the best baseball. That being said I can't remember a time when I have been so proud of the baseball team as I am right now. They have come a long way in the past 3 weeks. Roll Tide and beat LSwho!!!

Forgive me for asking this but I don't typically follow the Tide in baseball. Are we already considered in the big tourney or do we need to win tomorrow? Thanks in advance.....

Do bids for supers have to be due at the same time? Maybe we can luck up and have a couple of teams lose in our cross-region and we can host the super then.

This morning's rpi was #11 and the sos is #2.

I am also very proud of this team. Seems like we are getting the upper class leadership now that most of us felt we would have all year.

Beat LSU!

Where did you see us having a SOS of #2? Best I have seen is #29 in the nation.

One of the sites linked at Diamond Tide's site: Warren Nolan's. That's where I have been seeing the rpi and sos every day. I have seen other's that were slightly different, but not that far off.
