We got an inch or 2 here in T--Town, it was nice to have a long weekend for sure. Looks like we may get another round here soon.
I'm down here on the Gulf Coast too and 2017 sounds right. If I remember right it was like a dusting of snow....lolI'm in Mobile, I haven't seen snow since 2017. I do remember an ice storm when my kids were little, some time around 2014 maybe, I can't remember exactly.
Before that, it was the 90s when it snowed down here. So we should be due for snow again some time in 2038.
I remember taking the old video camera outside while I was in HS.....so must have been between 91 and 95. I do remember on the camera it was March. We had a "thunder snow storm."I'm down here on the Gulf Coast too and 2017 sounds right. If I remember right it was like a dusting of snow....lol
Maybe a half inch or less and just enough to cover the ground with a layer of crunchy ice.
The last time I remember it really snowing was a couple times when I was in HS.
I want to say maybe 1993 and then again in '95 or '96 because I remember trying to drive home from my GF's house and almost wrecked because the roads had become so slippery and I had never driven in those conditions.
At this point I'm not sure it will ever really snow here again that's any significant amount.
Yeah its real nice here, the older i get the less i want to be around big cities. Walhalla Steak House has the best chicken I have ever eaten LOL.I know Walhalla well...The Walhalla Steak House was a go to on Sunday lunch. Yes, a wonderful place to live with much less hassle than the big city.
I lived in Anniston Alabama ( Fort McClellan ) in the early 90s when i was a kid, remember getting a foot of snow one year that was crazy.I'm in Mobile, I haven't seen snow since 2017. I do remember an ice storm when my kids were little, some time around 2014 maybe, I can't remember exactly.
