Do We Have 4 Now???

Was looking on rivals and see 4 commits: felder, smith, ryan and caldwell! Is this 4 we knew about I mean, I knew about caldwell and ryan I still haven't figured him out yet but the other 2 I never knew they had even existed. Any info on these guys would be appreciated.

Henry Smith (DT) and Chris Felder (DB) are prior recruits from the 2003 class that went the JUCO route because of academics. Both were highly rated coming out of high school and should be good additions to the team. Haven't heard how they performed in JUCO. Both should have 3 years to play two.
If Smith is in good shape and lives up to his reputation he should be able to work his way into the playing rotation his first season on campus. When you team Smith with Fanney and Washington, at Hargrave this year and assuming they resign, that's three pretty good defensive linemen to add to the mix next year. We'll need them all to perform since we lose Bates and Bear to graduation.

Washington was missing a class. Has to go to Hargrave Prep School in VA. From what I understand on Smith and Ryan, it is not completely certain that they will make it to the Capstone or be re-recruited for that matter. I suppose a lot depends on their progress this season and of course academics. Felder, I believe, will fit into the same mold. The Tide knows more about this than me, maybe he will add something to this shortly.

Did not know that about Zo. I was counting on him to step in and play this year. We've got to get some depth on both sides of the line.

Just a small correction to what Bamatree said, Henry Smith was a 2002 recruit. I don't know his whole story, but would assume he used a redshirt in JUCO and would have 2 years to play 2. I could be wrong there though, just guessing. Henry will certainly help with the lack of depth at DT.
