With no pitching, well limited anyway. These guys are pulling it together. They have won 16 of 21 here of late. With an injured team such as this team is, they are really showing some grit. They are against a tough Arizona and San Fran team and might not win the division, but they sure are making a strong case to be a wild card. Heck they might even win the division. Any thoughts? Roll Tide!

Athens-LA-Tide, let me get this straight, you left the South, came to LA & are a Dodger fan?

If that is the case, it is only a matter of time until your are pulling for my Bruins!

Dodgers have Chan Ho & nothing else if Brown does not return. An impressive run, yes. Will it last? I think not.

Go Braves & Bruins!

No Sir! Dodger and Laker fan my whole life. Dusty Baker and Ron Cey were my favs as a kid. Growing up in Bama not to many people cared for my baseball pick because its Brave country. I remained a dodger fan throughout all the smack talk. Im actually about to move to portland, and am looking forward to that because I will remain a Laker fan. Thats the way it is.

As far as the Tide goes nothing will ever change that. Always Tide. I will admit though when you guys broke my heart and beat us, I grew a certain respect for the Bruins. I pull for the Bruins. But not against the Tide.

The dodgers are on an impressive run as you say. I dont expect a run like this to last. But I do think there is some good chemistry on this team, finally, and think they can challenge for a wild card. If they can hang Brown will be back in Sept and fresh. Very fresh. In a 5-7 game series a fresh Brown and Park can go along way. Roll Tide

Athens-LA-Tide, you are the exact opposite of my upbringing. I left Atlanta as a youngster, but have remained a diehard Falcon & Braves fan. Going to UCLA from 1986-90 & attending upwards of 9 Braves games a year was brutal & the hazing by Dodger fans was merciless, which is why I hate the Dodgers! I always thought that the Dodgers & Giants were behind the geographical realignment & an unbalanced schedule in the early-90's AFTER my Braves started dominating. Now, it sucks only seeing maybe 3 games a year here in San Diego.

BTW, you do know that Dusty was quite a Brave & I believe he was on deck when the Hammer hit 715! I was there as wee lad & proudly dismal the certificate & ticket stub signed be Aaron in my office in San Diego. I maintain that April 8th should be declared Hank Aaron day, MLB should have all day games & we should get the day off to attend.

Good luck the rest of the way, maybe we'll meet in the post-season.

Are you going to the UCLA/Bama game?

I knew Dusty was a Brave. I always hated the Braves, but now that Ive moved from there I dont hate them anymore. Its kinda wierd how that works out.

I will be at the game. I wont make it to the NCP party, but I will be tailgateing that Sat and hope to hang out at the Tidefans spot for awhile that day. So assuming your going to the game I hope to see ya and meet ya. If your not there is still time to change your mind. We'd love to have ya.

Hey I didnt know if you saw my thread under your Cammy post, but I took back what I said about him. That guy is helping the Braves bigtime. I said he would do nothing and he made me look like a fool. Good pick-up for the Braves. If the Dodgers stay close I think they will make a trade and give up some young arms. Im not sure if they should but, Oh well.

What do u mean. Whats going on with Sheff? I think hes doing a great job. Hes probably one of the guys thats holding the team together. Coach Tracy is always saying great things about him and his pressence. Finnally Green is playing his a$#&* off.

Sheff has a history of turning on his teammates. Last year (or maybe it was early this year) he was demanding to be traded, said if he didn't get his trade he would spill the beans on the Dodgers organization.

He's leading the points race on jerkoftheweek.com.

way ahead of John Rocker if you can believe that...

Man that incident was at the beggining of the season and was a done deal a long time ago. Sheff has done nothing but been a man
and has played a major part in getting those guys into first place. Im not worried about Sheff at all. He just wants to retire a Dodger, and I hope he does. This is a good team right now and he knows it. Hes won a series before, he knows what it takes.
