Even though they have been here for over a decade, I still don't see them as a true southern SEC team.
That was informative video. Thanks for posting.Even though they have been here for over a decade, I still don't see them as a true southern SEC team.
OU and UTw feel more SEC than Mizzou just because they have a football tradition. Mizzou has a Midwest school that just happens to play football feel. No, they really don't feel SEC
Texas doesn't feel SEC either but big brand so I get it
Tony Galbreath in particularI’ve hated them since 1975. Can’t remember why.
No it was never a choice between them and WVU. What happened was Nebraska had a contract 1 year less than Mizzou and caught wind that Mizzou was having back room conversations with the B1G about leaving in 2012. Nebraska screwed Mizzou over by jumping them to the B1G in 2011 and Mizzou was basically in a floater contract with the Big XII in 2011. The SEC’s interest was made upon 2 things… 1) the markets of KC and St Louis and 2) the fact that Mizzou had no legally binding restrictions preventing them from joining immediately.I cannot recall if I can remember this correctly but it was really a choice either Missouri or West Virginia to join the SEC at that time. Myself I picked Missouri and I believe it was the right choice.
